Broken Antler Fen When you were here before

After Wraen and Maia had discovered the Broken Antler Fen and enlisted it as a potential place to settle for winter, she had returned to Redhawk caldera only briefly. She did not see a point in going back and forth between the two places, even if they were located not too far from each other, when she could camp out here and do a thorough inspection of the place as long as she wished. 

It was a little soggy for Wraen's taste, but with the below zero temperatures that was not much of a problem. Except, where the moss gave way to a little frozen stream or pool of water, she had to be careful and watch her step. She had nearly fallen once and not wishing to break a limb, the she-wolf walked around the larger patches of ice, jumped over those, who were smaller. It reminded her a little of the childhood game - where you were not allowed to step on certain marks on the ground, because then you would go straight to hell.

Hell she did not find, but at the centre of the territory trees gave way to a magnificent lake. Wraen stopped at it's banks and observed the vast plain of water. She wondered whether it was deep and whether the ice was strong enough to hold her weight. However, lifetime of experience warned her that testing the theory in practice would not be a good idea. Therefore, she began to move along the ice-capped lake's edge to see, what other wonders the territory had to offer.
