Joining
Let's try to join Easthollow again, but with Grezig instead of Red. @Valette

Depression had caused Grezig to leave the Teekon Wilds; fear of being pack-less when the winter came had driven her back. Now she was far inland, and far from Rusalka. Far from her children—children she was not sure were even still alive. Thinking of them now only caused a dull ache where before it had been sharp and real. Her past did not matter now. All she cared about was survival.

It had been too long now, and she did not realize how close she was to the place she had once tried to join, back when she’d first come to the Teekon Wilds. No one at Bearclaw Valley had answered her call, so she’d left… and found Liri and Kavik, along with a little boy named Illidan. She pushed the memory from her mind and howled for whoever lived here. She cared not who it was or what they would request of her, as long as they let her in and allowed her to survive the coming winter.

These days, Merrit seldom found himself within Easthollow. Any sense of security had been sprited away the day Leta had fallen. Sweet Leta was alive, of course - and he clung to this - but so was her assailant. Somewhere out there, the siren still prowled. By night, she found her way into his dreams, and by day, he caught visions of her in the hours of the sun. She had twisted the familiar comforts of home into something he did not recognize, and nothing he did could return them to what they had been before.

He came upon the borders from beyond Easthollow; too bound to his family to leave them, he always stayed nearby. From a distance and behind he did not recognize the stranger. She, at least, stirred no memories of that day, but this did not mark her a friend. No, she remained a foreign entity, a danger, and Merrit covered the ground between them with a stride that rolled of power. He knew he rivalled his father in size; one of the many gifts Stark had left him, but this was one he did not fight against. "I am Merrit," his quiet voice ran soft, and flat, and his steady gaze rested on her - stoic, with the dark circles around his eyes the only sign of his troubles. "What is your business with Easthollow."
with quiet words I'll lead you in

Valette made her way to the border. Usually when there was a stranger she wouldn't hurry too much to respond. She would travel at a comfortable speed instead of rushing to the borders like it was an emergency. Now it seemed, as she arrived, that Merrit beat her to meeting this new lady. Valette approached from deep within the territory. She was surprised to see Merrit. She had the feeling he was more often away from the pack than living with them but she never had the heart to really confront her son with it. She knew the attack on Leta had been tough on him.

"Hello, I'm Valette, the Matriarch of Easthollow," she smiled in greeting, looking far kinder than Merrit. It was still a strange concept that Merrit was so much larger than her. He had been so tiny when he was born. She mostly had females before who stayed around her size when growing up but Merrit had been far taller. It felt strange to be smaller than her own son. She knew that with her latest litter things would be much the same.
