Orochi had purposely avoided their washed up guest. If he ran into him, he’d probably rip his head off for being allowed to stay, and Aiolos wouldn’t like that would he? Just the thought of that russet man made the yearling grit his teeth in frustration.

I'd hope if you ever find yourself in danger, no one decides to do the same to you.” Those parting words came back to Orochi as he walked along the shore. Who did he think he was, saying shit like that? He’d never become some useless sack of fur, washed up on someone else’s island. Even if that did happen (and it wouldn’t) he didn’t need help from anyone else.

An unfamiliar scent brought him back to reality. Orochi snarled. Better not be anymore ocean trash, cause this time Mr. Shàngjiàng wouldn’t be able to save them. He followed the trail.

unfortunately for both of them, the trail leads right to jaime. he's doing his usual jaime things — wandering aimlessly, head in the clouds, not paying attention at all to what's going on around him. he's in his own world, and doesn't notice orochi's approach until it's far too late to flee. the sight of the brown wolf startles him. he flinches, skittering several feet back with an abrupt, high whine. he drops into a crouch, immediately submissive, instinctively reacting to the presence even before he consciously remembers why he's so terrified of him. and once he remembers, it's all he can do to keep himself from hyperventilating. an extreme reaction, even for jaime. the depth of his trauma is far beyond even what he imagines, but right now he isn't thinking about that. right now he's just hoping he's not about to fucking die.

He doesn’t find any new washed up strangers lying around, only an old one, which is not any better.

Orochi didn’t know what annoyed him more: wolves who challenged him or cowards who couldn’t take the heat. He scowled at the other boy when he retreated. What? You scared? The only enjoyment he got out of guys like this was amplifying that fear. It’s a pastime he hadn’t partaken in since his youth. The memories of terrorizing his brother briefly return to him. It was fun then, maybe it’d be fun now. At least then this scrawny little freak would be of some use. You should be.

minor pp! can change if needed
oh fuck. oh no. shit. NOPE. this guy is about to fucking kill him and jaime is NOT here for it. metaphorically shitting himself, he tucks his tail and takes off, following the nearest scent that registers as safe. thankfully, it happens to be that of @Aiolos. a few seconds of panicked flight brings him to the russet leader. he hesitates only for a moment — i - i — he's — scattered and still panicking, he plants himself directly underneath the large wolf, squeezing his eyes shut as if that might make the scene fade away.

Low and behold, the Yuelong lead was just trotting along the coasts of his home, minding his own business, when Jaime, jumpy little guy, came flying into his direction, full panic mode. Aiolos body tensed, leaning back as the other wolf came darting right under his long creamy limbs and under him, hiding from some obvious threat. What the fu- Fiery eyes shot up to see Orochi's pursuit, less swift and short lived compared to Jaime's dash to safety, as it were. The fuck is going on? He growls, all fluffed out now with hackles raises high as he was placed into a full alert.

Orochi didn’t need an answer, the boy’s actions spoke louder than words. He made a run for it, which was admittedly slightly annoying, but that didn’t matter. It’s just make it all the more satisfying when he caught up and tore him apart.

He ran after him, not too quickly, but not too slow either. Hey, what are you running for?! he called. A smirk appeared on his face, only for it to disappear as a firey figure appeared within his sight.

Aiolos. Shit

Orochi came to an abrupt halt before he collided into the two and sent sand flying. He glared at his leader, then at the cowardly wolf underneath him, and back at Aiolos again.

What?! I was just trying to talk to him. Orochi grunted and whipped his head to the side. Not my fault he’s so damn jumpy.

A smirk on his face he came running, only to stop quick at the very sight of Aiolos. Orochi glared at his alpha, back to Jaime, then back onto him, only to toss his snout up to the side and comment. Had Orochi not been so disrespectful to his lead by his stare (which wasnt the first time) and had he not been so hateful to Jaime to begin with, Aiolos may have been more inclined to believe the three-footed wolf. At least, that maybe he had only meant to 'test Jaime's worth' then to do him any real harm.

However...

His legs shift to splay himself to how his balance and to allow Jaime some 'wiggle room' down there as he shielded him. Jaime is a part of our pack. He snaps, We don't go around picking on and terrorizing our own. Grow up, His lip quivers, fiery gaze locked on Orochi's own eyes in an obvious display of dominance. Your supposed to be our General to our pack. Start acting like it or I'll find someone who can. Where the hell was @Minori and @Takara? He really missed those two...

Part of our pack? A brief, dry laugh escaped him. Guy’s barely been here for a month and all he’s done is wander around and use up our supplies. Orochi’s stare returned to the yearling, who had yet to move from the spot (and he doubted he would anytime soon. Fucking coward). Doesn’t sound like a useful pack member to me.

He looked back at Aiolos, who now stared him down with a ferocity of his own. Orochi didn’t like that at all. I am our general. His lips pulled back into a snarl. I’d like to see you try to find someone to replace me. But he wouldn’t. The dragon’s the best they had.

Not everyone 'helps the pack' by running off potential members... He snorts, referring to Jaime himself and who knows how many others. He hunts. He reads the skies- which is a skill proved quite useful before those big storms hit. But you wouldnt know that about him hum? Too busy being an asshole. And what of their other new members, yet to find their grounding, who were here less then Jaime? Or the various children, who obviously at the time had yet to learn to earn their keep? Were they all not worthy in the eyes of Orochi either? Its a good thing who stays and goes wasnt his decision then.

Even though Aiolos had every means to defend Jaime, now it seemed to come down to him defending his own self and his place as lead male within the ranks. Aiolos couldnt blame him. Every young wolf, such as that of the wolf before him having yet to even reach his second year of life, needed to find their place and learn it within the ranks. Once upon a time ago, when Aiolos had been forced to fight amongst the males in order to obtain any recognition, he had much the same fire in him. A fire yet to be snuffed out. But this was not the Nereides island, it was Yuelong and Orochi's behavior was not acceptable and Aiolos had every intention to make that clear.

Aiolos would find someone else to replace the boy. Would be happy to. But as a start, he would strip the rank from him. His head lowered, a growl bubbling in his throat as his lips pulled back in a snarl of his own. And then he charged, coming in low enough so that he may slam the top of his skull (and thrust forth shoulders) into Orochi like a battering ram to send him on his ass. By now, he could hear the panicked flee of Jaime down the coastline.

For the boy to even be considered a potential member was insulting. Laughable even. Orochi would’ve snickered had he not been so pissed. This washed up piece of shit hadn’t done anything for Yuélóng (nevermind Aiolos telling him otherwise. He’d believe it when he sees it, but even then that wasn’t a guarantee) and he was convinced they should've thrown him back in the ocean on day one.

Nothing was said of his last comment. The russet man only growled, lowered his head, and prepared to strike. Orochi mirrored his response; head down, growled. He prepared to take the blow. Perhaps it was the lack of combat over the weeks, or maybe it was just his unlucky day. Either way, he wasn’t able to take it as well as he thought he would. Orochi lost his balance—a rookie’s mistake at this point—thus was sent stumbling back.

The lead took then every advantage of the younger wolf stumbling back as he came at him from the side after his initial ramming. He would use the side of his shoulder to shove against Orochi's flank as he stumbled so. Made to knock the man over by the part of him which was weakest- the back end with the missing foot. Limbs bent, keeping lowered, Aiolos reached for the lower portion of Orochi's chocolate nape so that he could then after work him into a submissive hold.

There are certain things he needed to avoid when fighting, things the average wolf didn’t need to worry over much. Losing his balance was one of them. It can be the difference between victory and defeat, he knew that already. He always does what he can to avoid this scenario. To slip up so quickly and so easily... it upset the dragon.

Orochi had little time to gather himself. Before he knew it he was completely thrown off balance, and held firmly by the nape. No amount of kicking or squirming would help, so he became still after a while. His ears pulled back and his glare burned through the sand.

Aiolos knew the brown wolf to be a strong one. Had he not been missing a foot he likely would have been able to throw his weight around just about any in the ranks easily. Maybe having the missing limb was the Goddesses way of keeping Orochi in line; to keep him from becoming a monster.

Now Orochi was in the sands, being taught a lesson when it came to making sure to respect those of higher rank. Aiolos held firm to the yearling, pushing him harder into the dirt the more he kicked and squirmed. After awhile, he stopped and after a moment longer, Aiolos released.

Backing up to that Orochi could rise and collect himself, a warning growl was given to allow the youth to know this fight would not be over if Orochi still wished to retaliate.

No wolf who disrespects their leader will call themselves jiàngguān here. Now leave, He snaps, his fiery gaze hard on the boy. Before I feel the need to strip you of something else. And so he watched and waited. Either Orochi would grow to learn to respect his superiors or he wouldnt. Only time would tell the difference and if with it, should he still have a placement here in Yuelong. Only then does Aiolos turn, leaving the scene with a bitterness on his tongue.
