There were a ton of things in her recent history that she wished she had not done or said or handled differently. 

"Sounds like someone I know," she remarked, thinking about her sister Sarah, who - although very stoic, cool-headed and never wasting a word too much - could also be quite sharp and poisonous in her choice of words, if provoked or "poked" the wrong way.
