"That's nice," she heartily grasped on the subject that the fellow felt more confident about. "I have met Elwood, by the way. He is such a nice person," she told him. "And - I may be wrong - but your sister Liffey was my friend back at Sunspire." A moment later she realized that this last part had sounded odd and quickly added: "I mean... she is my friend - I know that for sure, but... never mind.
