"maybe i am simply odd." stigmata's mood was infectious, pulling mahler from his own stoic regard. while he was not normally a playful beast, the disposition of the season had affected them both in different ways. he realized he had never allowed himself to fully appreciate that which they had accomplished in the mountains. to mahler's mind, it had always been stigmata who was father of disapora.
but had the gargoyle not brought wolves? did he not guard their gates as fiercely as he ever had? was he not not an asset in his breadth and skill and bulk? growling lowly, mahler let a rare grin flit across his muzzle at stigmata's admiration of him, and the same was reflected boldly in his own gaze.
the shadow leapt away from the water, stiff-legged as he landed into a teasing bow accompanied by a light snapping in his kill-brother's direction. message taken, mahler allowed himself the pleasure of indulging in stigmata's mood.
