@Rashepses teehee

mission provided, Toula was restless—she could not sleep. and so she called to one fellahin, who guided her to the baths. they would cleanse her thoroughly, massage her—but it was not their touch she craved!
a summons was sent for her husband. a request. would he feel her need from where he lay?

congrats on (nearly) 800 <3

He appeared there in the entrance, fitful shade in the goddess’s grace. Moving once to expand himself into the room, but no more.

Hungry eyes bent like a river over the bathing form of his wife.

“You thought to deny me,” his face was dark, his gaze in flames.

there he stood, lingering only in the doorway—still he filled the room. she emerged from the waters, the element spilling off of her in rivulets. no fellahin lingered to attend her, as she had sent them away for the night, so that it would belong to just the two of them.
never, she answered, her approach slow as she looked him over. her own eyes burned as she said, not in this life, nor any other, my love. tell me it is the same for you, another step, tell me you would deny me nothing—that you would give to me the world, and another!

800 for u hub!!!

Nor any other.

He couldn’t answer. Not with the staleness of a throat swiftly gone dry at the sight of her wet fur clinging tightly to every sinuate curve. Toula scintillated. They exchanged only breaths and the stone room goes quiet save for the piddling from her feet and belly.

He did not close those last few steps.

“Get back in the water,” Rashepses grunted between breaths that came quicker. He wanted to watch— her. Hear her. Smell her.

she watched him—he watched her. an exchange between them, silent but powerful. a current of energy ran between them that was so strong it ought to be tangible! his breaths gone ragged, and what he does voice is hoarse.
it was his wife in the room with him. she did not wear the headpiece of Pharaoh in this moment. she stood before him, stripped bare—and moved toward the waters again, looking over her shoulder. all the love she harbored lived in the glance they then exchanged, and lust, too, it seemed—they danced together. come with me, came her heated words, mischief dancing in her eyes.

A command he too obeyed, rounding the edge of the wellspring as his wife descended beneath the waters mantled in steam. He watched as flaxen wavelets floated upon the surface from her neck, crowning her blonde face in a disc of divine golden light.

Firelit eyes said he wanted her, that he might with one grab have her bent against rocky embankment and the vanta-black cloak of her king. He settled at the side of her bath and observed instead the languid fluidity of his wife as she appeared underwater.

“Show me, Toula,” he whispered, lusty eyes too engrossed by this private dance to do anything more than lay impossibly still and stare.

he followed—she heard him. half an answer to her first question, but she wanted it in its entirety. him in his entirety. Toula turned to look at him, the waters moving in rippling waves around her. one paw lifted to touch her own chin as she asked playfully, here? or… she lowered it then, tracing the bosom she so often invited him to nestle within when they rested—or did things such as this! or perhaps here?
lower still it drifted, lingering for a moment upon the curvature of her belly. her breath quickened slightly, but she paused. show me upon yourself exactly where, my love, breathy words came as her lashes fluttered while she observed him there, the picture of perfection. she could not have enough of him—she never, ever would.

Ensnared upon that gilded paw as it caressed her chin, smoothing down through plush neck, over collarbone, across the flatness of her belly…

He thrusted himself forward, through the waters, reaching for his wife to draw her up upon the shallow embankment beneath. The angular chin crested warm waters as a roughened paw sought to open her like a spring lotus before him. He fixed himself there with a low groan, gold again melting into teal.

Hadn’t they both moved like rivers?

Rashepses drew into Toula, feeling at once glory; light. His paws explored her, admiring the tightness of her belly he knew would soon again grow with their creation.

This is what only Gods felt pressed together. Fever. Vapor. Soul. Pulsus.

Finally, he felt their writhing again in sync. He held her there, at the cusp. “You are mine. You will never know another. All your eternities belong to me, Iset—”

And he shifted her just far enough away that she would see the gilt of Osiris in his eyes. “We are one and the same, goddess; lover; wife. Name me Pharaoh, alongside you. Two Gods. Two palaces. Two Pharaohs.”

Gods! now it was she who could not speak! she had missed this, missed him—this rightness, this paradise unmatched by anything else in this world. robbed of breath, of coherent though, Toula felt all of herself spill over an edge that gleamed the same gold as her husbands gaze upon her.
once, and as they moved in synchronicity, she knew she would find herself at the edge of the world again! he held her, suspended—yes, his words were truth, yes!
and now Toula would spin them so that she stood above him, gentle but quick—Toula would not have them be divided, though was slow to sink upon him. now she watched. watched as she had not before.
god. lover. husband, she would rise and fall with each slowly drawn out word. I am yours for eternity, and even after that, a kiss to each cheek, a shuddering breath as she came closer to... to…
if I am to name you Pharaoh, you must right a wrong. are you powerful enough to do this for me? she whispers against a plush ear—vulnerable throat offered to him, her tongue rolling against the pulse found within his own.

Toula—

In one leonine rush she became the entirety of his world. He forgot about Ta-senet and his brothers, forgot about the palace and the courtiers, forgot about their enemies and their children and the Gods. Only her eyes mattered, her paws, the insistence of her dance as she joined them.

Rashepses snaked a paw over each glistening curve, coming to hold the side of her face in the strong grasp of his hand.

“Tell me, meryt,” he murmured, voice thick— shaking with pleasure.

pleasure, pleasure, pleasure—this was bliss, this was divinity! he seemed willing, he wished to hear it—but could he bear it?
she slowed, arching, teeth dragging gently against the vulnerable space he offered to her. tell me! she would, but her breath came again in gasps. she would, she would, but she couldn’t breathe! she gathered him close, kissing him with great passion.
she withdrew to look upon him, a paw placed upon his chest. her breath collected, she shifted to cast him in her aureate glow. there was grief in her gaze as she said, regain my trust, and the trust of our people, for he had broken it! her paw traced his chest, rose to cup his chin. I love you, with all of me. it is a neverending thing, even though you have wounded me. why would you act without me? even as Pharaoh, all I have done—I have done it with you, she did not understand why he would move without her. why he would imprison their Sesh—who had become as a mother to her.

The hand slipped, Toula parted them and an eerie cold rushed to where their souls had twined.

“You have no faith in me.” The sunstone eyes were firm upon her before dismantling into their own puncturing grief. Lies! Lies fed by creatures who had no sweeter pleasure in life than spreading whispers of their betters. Rashepses did not reach for his wife, but rolled to his side until they were again facing one another.

“My love, someone would have you believe I imprisoned a woman. I made no such order. The sesh came to me. She wanted a search party for the hebsut, during war, when our jodai and mazoi lay half in Duat. Which of our men were we to send? A child soldier? A fellahin? Should I have pulled the medjay away from guarding our children? The doctor was nearly ready to abandon those dying who needed her most. I forbid it. I commanded her to stay and heal the Jodai.” For he knew she agreed that Khusobek was the future of Muat-riya, thusly Mereo!

“The servant dog surely would have us believe the same: that Akashingo should have rerouted our army instead to rescue him! While the two palaces were at war. While men were slain and children maimed. Let the multitudes perish so long as he was freed!” The last selfish telling sneered in contempt. These were the lesser voices that would go forth and vent anger against their Gods! That strayed from their custom! Would his wife hold them in greater merit than that of her own divine husband?

“Does our counsel disagree?" He asked sincerely. "Are our names and blood not stronger together?” Softening then, and with one paw did Rashepses seek the still-damp cusp of her own.

“But there is more to tell, my love. A year ago, through divine mists, I was visited by a spirit God—”

Pharaoh Ramesses.”

much was said—much to be taken in. and she found she understood him. she would need to speak with Tavina—but her faith in him inspired belief. and it did make sense, the desire to help was innate in their Sesh. Toula had things to say in response, but was distracted by the specter he had seen.
my father, she whispered, inching nearer. the rest would wait for a moment, it must! did he speak with you? she asked gently, eyes bright and wide!
