All Welcome
As the evening fell and the sun was coming to a set, with a tight squeeze through bramble and thickets, she fought through swarms of mosquitoes and rumbling toads hopping about her toes. Grainy bits of sand no longer neatly tucked under the curve of her nail. Instead, sitting in its place was the odd feeling of sticky mud patting down between her toes that she consistently found herself hyper-focusing on and trying to.. Scratch, scratch, scratch, scratch, SCRATCH!

At some point, she'd reached an edge of the two-necked river, but she couldn't bear to pass! When her foot sunk in as she took her first step, she was immediately revolted by the feeling of ICK! SCRATCH, SCRATCH, SCRATCH did she beat her paw on the ground, trying to violently rub off the slushy mud between her pads. Then, she was expected to dive in the entire way!? Could she even swim? Iseul made visiting very hard, maybe she should trek back home than step in this. A smile sat on her lips, but it wasn't a happy one as she tensed her brows and.. Scratch, scratch, scratch, scratch! How much scratching did she need to do to remove water dirt?!

If this was a Legend Repellent, it was working! Iseul was a terrible friend for this liquid dirt monster!

:D <3 !

the isle often felt protected, and yet somehow riddled with disease the longer Iseul spends in its space. she would never leave, not until she could have Ines and Matteo answer honestly about where their hearts lay. they are too young to leave behind, and while Iseul puts her trust in her deputy to keep his folk in line, she cannot see herself allowing for the kids to be left unattended until there is a better grasp on the identities of Red and Gun.

the young woman dislikes the feeling of being caged like this, despite the fact that she never feels the need to wander. but perhaps it is only unrest that keeps her awake at night. but perhaps it is the sheer beauty of the isle that makes it all worth it. secretly, Iseul has been naming parts of the land in her home tongue, and perhaps she may come to teach it to the others should they have willing ears.

the water glimmers a soft orange glow from the setting sun, and as Iseul comes to the edges to mark borders and perhaps look for a fishing spot, she can catch a familiar smell and the makings of something that tickles her fancy. and while Iseul can't quite understand what it is that her friend is doing, there is certainly a sense of joy laced in her voice when she calls out to her.

"Legend!" her name is easier on the tongue, and Iseul would think of this spry shadow often.
Iseul is still learning English and will frequently pause to find the right word. This often occurs with an audible 'uh' or 'ah' sound, as well as speaking a bit slower to try and avoid mistakes. Your character is welcome to notice this!

"I-seul?" Yet Iseul's name had not grown easier on her own tongue. Little chance had been given for socializing, especially inside of the snake-quiet clan with Khaba at its head and his silence! Even so, eager she was to say it. So, it had been unchanged, and still difficult when she connected the 'S'.
Perhaps it was a good thing it had not been worn.

"Hillo-He-H-Hi- HELLO!" SCRATCH, SCRATCH, SCRATCH, SCRATCH. She had spent so much time trying to beat the daylight of Ra out of god Geb packed between her pads that she'd forgotten the local tongues greeting. In time, quickly, when the god had died, or when she accepted that parts of its body wasn't going anywhere, she dropped her foul smile to give Iseul a pleasant one. Iseul was no river mud, even if such surrounded her! "I visit, I-seul?"

sorry for being a lil late to this! hope u guys still don't mind me hopping in!

Having now been cursed with the knowledge of who Colt was, Boone found himself worried. Not so much for himself, but for Iseul who had to deal with him. And it wasn't that Colt had done anything, per se, but it was the rotten grin and the Western drawl of his voice, the narcissism in his scarlet stare. Oh, and the strange woman he paraded around.
Seen some shit, they'd said! Did they take him for a useless knucklehead?
So, perhaps in a passive-aggressive fashion (but mostly to keep himself busy in the hopes that he would not run into him again unprepared), Boone follows Iseul's trail. He much preferred her company; the opinion had already been set in his black-and-white little mind. Iseul good, Colt bad, and Gun... somewhere in between.
Trudging along the outskirts of the isle and following the river's flow, it's not long before he hears what sounds like a gleeful shout, although it could have also been fearful. Legend. Somebody's... name, although he's hesitant to call it that. His ears swivel forward, and peeking through a twin set of aspens, they come into view: Iseul and a little black wolf.
He stands there for a moment, watching, before realizing how fucking creepy that is. Sorry to, uhhh, interrupt, he chirps, friendly as ever, oakwood gaze fixated on Iseul before it bounces over to the little one. she givin' you trouble, Iseul?

no problem, always happy to have you! <3

there was once the promise to feed her, house her, and listen to the stories she has collected on her flight through the wilds. and for timing purposes, Iseul could not be more grateful for Legend's presence. while tensions felt like they were attempting to die down, it certainly felt nice to actually have a friend present on the isle with her.

for a moment, Iseul thinks of Ady and Ulrich and how much she misses them.

before she could come to give a response, the newest isle dweller comes to check in. Iseul is swift to offer him a smile, even as he questions if Legend is a wanted presence. "no," she says to him with a shake of her head, "Legend is a friend, Boone."

a very good friend, indeed. "will Legend swim over and stay tonight?" a head tilt as she looks over to her sooty raven, tail curling about in a happy sway. and perhaps even better is that Boone has joined in on the fun. and certainly, Iseul can't deny that she enjoys his presence moreso than the others of the isle.

"Yes! Would love to, but." Her eyes casted back down to the water, and she found every reason before her trying to tell her why she shouldn't go over. Water, muck below it, and the one thing she didn't need to look for, all because he stood out, was big behemoth man beside her! Iseul liked to hang around giants? And monster water? Why must Iseul have a booby trap AND a bodyguard? Still, desperate was she to go and see Iseul! Her paws hit the water much like a whelp taking its first steps. SLAP, SLAP, SLAP. SMACK, SMACK, SMACK, SMACK! And when she went to take a dip in, it had been as soon as her chest started to sink that she yelped and used her hind legs to try and kick her out of it. Scrambling back up to the surface, she looked at the river as if it were a devil. Again and again, she learned, the devil disguised as a blessing! No wonder the desert held no such thing! Teekon was CURSED!

Flattening her ears, she came to a delightful sit. They saw nothing. "There," she blinked, looking down again and shuffling her paws farther back. "Other way?"

Legend is a friend.
The fondness for her Iseul holds in her gemstone gaze is obvious, though on first impression, Boone cannot really understand why. His thoughtfulness is broken by the clap of paws against water and the subsequent violent thrashing, but when he looks up, the strange girl is still, as if nothing had happened.
Sure, yeah, he totally didn't hear that.
You okay, miss? he drawls, a gesture of his chin in her direction. You don't know how to swim, do ya? But he does not say this tauntingly, instead with layers of concern, followed by a whistling chuckle. She seems daunted by him, a wideness to the smoke-wrapped irises of hers; although maybe that was just her face. But he decides to reassure her anyway. I won't hurt ya. A friend of Iseul is a friend of mine.

learning to swim would perhaps be on the itinerary for iseul whenever she would cross paths with legend again. but she would know not to push such things with her now, as learning with frustration or fear already present is no way to go about things. boone seems to say the quiet part out loud, and now iseul through a concerned look over to the tall man. just how would they go about getting legend over to the other side without swimming? "any ideas? it's a silent question she tosses over to his own softer gaze.

perhaps they could form a wolf-bridge, but if legend is not quick-footed, then perhaps she would slip and fall and than what? iseul and boone could probably carry her over just with their sheer size, but swimming with deadweight is a task that not many are in shape to do either! certainly a pickle of a situation to be in.

iseul thinks and thinks before seemingly having a lightbulb magically appear. "Legend," she calls out whilst casting a more confident look to Boone, "there is smaller part of the river. that way." her muzzle would come to point towards the northern part of the isle. "you can jump over!"

this plan, of course, would only work if Legend is even willing to accept such a bogus answer in the first place! perhaps Boone could think up of something, but for now, Iseul only has 1 trick up her sleeve.
