it was time to meet the Mazoi that she would see elevated to legend—a girl who had been through so much, more than she should have. Toula ached to know the truth in this, and though her duty had gotten in the way she knew she had played a part in working toward justice for the girl while she healed.
but Toula knew to get that justice, she would need to speak with her. what did she want from this? what part did she wish to play? Toula would hear her! 
in her chambers did Toula await, gentled gaze watching the corridor that the girl would be guided in through.

Safiya was aroused from her slumber by a fellahin letting her know thr Pharaoh herself wished to speak with her.

So with trepidation and speed she moved towards where the queen awaited. Paw steps light. Had you not known her you would not believe she had lost an eye at least not in these fabled halls. She had fought to learn their mazes

Safiya made it with a flick of an ear. Rested her singular eye on the Pharoah long enough for her lack of any fear to show and then she bowed her head and lowered her tail. And waited.
