"Alright then - wait here," Wraen told Tam and left the hideout. There was a cache located a little distance away, but she did not want the boy to see, where it was. She liked him, but did not entirely trust him, though, if he was very determined and skilled, he would find her "food cellar" with it's humble contents anyway. 

Fifteen minutes later she returned to her guest, bringing first remnants of a beaver's foot and later half of what was left from the tail. This was all that was left from her and Korei's successful kill few weeks earlier and due to the cold weather - it was as good as fresh. 

"The tail is a bit hard to chew on - don't break any teeth over it," she told him and then lied down to watch him eat.
