Firefly Glen Or need an escape just because

He rubbed his muzzle against his foreleg to get some of the dirt out of his whiskers, and looked up when Fennec emerged from the den she'd been digging, now a significantly darker shade of beige considering all of the dirt and dust that'd settled into her pelt. He gazed past her to the narrow opening, and had to wonder what it looked like inside. His mother had always preferred dens with a small entrance that opened up into a larger space inside, simply to avoid having too much of a draft come in. 

"Whatcha makin'?" He asked, albeit somewhat pointlessly- it was more of a hint that he knew she was digging a hole- but he wanted to know what it was for. "This where you're gonna stuff all them baby souls?"
