While he was still unsure if his son had returned safely to Mereo after his militia duties at Akashingo, Bronco nevertheless allowed himself a bit of time to travel North, skirting the mountain range, so he could pay a visit to Meerkat at Sapphique. 

He almost didn’t realize he’d gone off his route until he caught sight of the pale wolf in the distance. As if by instinct, he’d begun following her scent. Immediately, he felt ashamed and confused. He’d let his mind wander and had become lost in his worries about Killdeer. But for whatever reason, he’d begun tracking and following the female until he caught sight of her. 

He balked, anxiety wringing the temptation out of his mind. Temptation, however, fought back. This was a complete stranger- and he was about to make an absolute fool of himself. 

He let out a low woof, and began to pad toward her, questioning his own motives the whole time.
