She knew that Kiwi and Maia did not get along and in a similar way she had never found a common thread with Treason. Or Charon and his mate. 

"I hate to leave your comfy abode," Wraen began, "but I have to see, if Maia has had any luck in getting us dinner. If it's as big as the frog-prince she found last time, she will need a helping paw." In other words - it was time to save her sister from a certain death of boredom at the borders. Hunting was as good excuse as any to disappear and do something fun instead. "You are welcome to come by," she offered, before leaving. "When you need some girl-only time."
