Set for 11th November - @Hydra

Stress and exhaustion had not done well by Wraen, who shortly after her meeting with Bronco, had been overcome by fatigue of sickly kind. She had sought shelter in the nearby woods, found her old friend the willow and crawled inside the small hollow between the fallen tree trunk and the ground. There she had stayed, curled up in a tight ball, trying to keep the warmth and at the same time urging her restless mind to come to a rest. She drifted in and out from hectic dreams that at times made no sense to her at all and they hardly helped to calm her down. There was so much at stake, so much to do that Wraen did not feel that with one of her it was enough.

She awoke from one such nightmare, hardly able to breathe. Wraen fought for air, but it was as if someone had grabbed her lungs and heart and was holding them within an iron fist. At that moment she was very certain that she was going to die, but gradually the panic attack let go of her and she was able to breathe freely again. She would have wanted to rest more, but Maia was waiting and she had lost the track of time. All was jumbled up together and she no longer had the strength to sort the chaos in her head out.

It was then that she remembered, she had not eaten for days now, forgotten about it and were it not for the tell-tale signs of, when the sugar level in one's blood is going low, she would not have thought of food now. To alleviate dizziness she felt, Wraen dragged herself to the nearest lake, lied down on the banks, reached forward to have a drink. At least that would fool her stomach for a while.
