she ran to find mahler next, and sequoia as well. heda tried to control her excitement, positioning the trip as a way to learn ambassadorship as well as hunting.
mahler, indebted to moonglow and trusting of the intelligence of rivenwood's young, allowed it.
there was still a lecture to be given about safety and listening to the lead of those older and more experienced.
but after that, heda and druid had their own discussion about mireille, and so it was toward sapphique that they set off first. they would tell her but the war-girl did not want to wait long before they routed back toward the taiga. she was too consumed by the heady imaginings of what this might mean for them all.
