Random Event
random event! wolverine sighting! participation optional and no posting order <3 @Wren @Ash Star @Ksura @Senka @Sparrow @Phoebe Aquilanera Rowyn @Bryony @Aerilyn

there were few places that silvertongue found herself unable to reach now, but the snowy reaches evaded her. or at very least she avoided them, for they reminded her of that night outside the palace walls, when she had been much younger and with a name long unspoken. imagine her shock, then, to force herself up the same slopes anyway, wishing to be free of such a ridiculous connection to a memory needing to be buried — and finding fright all the same. wild-eyed and heart-pounding, silvertongue retreated to find her mate and their children before warning the rest of the pack with a quick howl. the wolverine, in the meantime, would move to the foghills, and that was where the wolves of the qeya would find the giant weasel, musky and content to graze on the greenery there, smacking up a colony of ants with relish. silvertongue held far back in the shadows. "it should be driven off," she exhaled, glancing to those nearby to assess their willingness or their fear.

Anyone can grab or stop Phoebe before she decides to go after the wolverine!

Phoebe didn’t really get danger.

Her moms were pretty damn good about keeping her in check and obliterating anything that really would threaten her happiness or well being. So, she had quickly developed a rough and tumble rowdiness that only grew worse with each passing day. Phoebe had yet to have a reckoning by the time the wolverine showed up.

She exchanged a toothy grin with Sparrow, a dare of ”bet you won’t”. She threw her head even, just to push her point, before she looked out past mamá. They could take it, couldn’t they?

Phoebe readied herself to lunge past her mothers for the wolverine, daring glinting in her gaze.

he knew that look, and he'd be damned if he let any of his siblings challenge him and not get their ass handed to them. a fiery twinkle sparked alive in his eyes as he rounded beside phoebe, a rough bump to her shoulder marked as acceptance to her dare.

it should be driven off? say no more.

he didn't wait for any signal or passing body to follow after. he was a racehorse fresh out of the gate and ready to barrel forward in headstrong pursuit of the threat. the others could sit and relax, he'd surely take care of this with not a scratch to show for it.

Ksura licked his lips as he approached the small group, tasting the scent of the wolverine on the cool air. He’d heard of them before- beastly things with a bearlike head, and long, tough claws- but had never seen one with his own eyes. He was just as keen to catch a glimpse of the creature as he was to chase it off.

Anything that ran was worth chasing.

That included, of course, the two-month old firebrand that was Sparrow. ”Ack!” He yipped as the boy bolted off toward the slope. He stood on springy ankles- ready to tear off after the kid to stop him from sending the creature in the wrong direction, or risking harm-

- and the kid was fast, but Ksura knew the terrain and inherited herding instinct from his Malinois lines. He bounded past the youth and then skidded to a halt, veering in an about-turn in an attempt to block the boy’s path, bracing for impact.

Ash was surprised and then sighed as she too gave chase after the children. She went the oppposite way. Why did Silver and Wren bring their children to see a wolverine!

Although who was she kidding, her children probably would have done the same thing. So she chased and maneuvered to keep the beast from them. Wolverines were notoriously evil. And truthfully she wanted it's pelt.

frowning severely at sparrow's lack of common sense, silvertongue regarded ksura and ash star. "it will not be expecting three of us," she said to the adults, pointedly regarding the pups with a look that said they should stay back this time. she crept to one side, emerging from the cover of trees, and bristled with a bark as she drew the attention of the musky thing. the wolverine snarled, head swiveling as it looked for the unpleasant sight of other wolves.
