All Welcome
@Khusobek

A prisoner man! A prisoner man! Pet, pet, pet! Legend rolled around the ground and groaned an unpleasant bliss. Ears now drowned from sound by sand that packed in them, before shaking it out and repeating it again. Again, again, again.

Legend would repeat it as many times as she wanted, wriggling around the ground in her own chamber kept special by Eset's own hands. Stored away to a quieter place, before roaming the palace as prey searching for a beast. Chiming, chiming.

"Khu-khu!"

vague about soto thread! <3

crocodile scrubbed blood from his paws and sighed out as the great muscles of his back relaxed.

"there is a goat in the first cache." would it explain the blood? did he care?

he stared at her. "what has you so alight with joy, yaret?" he wondered; he turned away and went back to his scrubbing.

rust, swirling away.

So big and handsome and strong! A big man of men with broad arms and hardened eyes. The scent of rancid blood that watered her tongue from the mazoi, rich title to that. Open wounds riddled his face. Neck, drenched in red beyond the rich browns that wrapped around the mazoi in a jacket. Ankle, torn open.

Legend's gaze bounced openly across the mans body, wordless and yet questioning every bit of it while a smile merrily sat on her features: disturbed. Her tail shivered out nerves.

Tick.

Tick.

Tick.

Tick.

Finally, a joyed: "Khuu!"

"Always happy!"

More words tried to squeeze out the yaret's mouth as a breath fell in her pretty lips, but all that happened was the flop of her head to the side.

"do not go to that cell without another," he warned her always-happiness, voice moderated though his face grew dark as a stormcloud.

he showed the yaret his gnawed wrist, a wry smile not quite reaching his glacial eyes. "it is a lesson no one else need learn."

his mind remembered; he wanted to curl upon himself and be sick.

"kheti has joined our ranks as mazoi. next i will see what it is kheti wishes to do."

Mature Content Warning

This thread has been marked as mature. By reading and/or participating in this thread, you acknowledge that you are of age or have permission from your parents to do so.

The participants have indicated the following reason(s) for this warning: gore

Mangled.

And oh, how she had gotten close to the prisoner. There stood Khusobek, torn at the face and ripped at the ankle. Stained, battered even through the density of the crocodiles skin. Would not a moth be smarter than to plunge into hellfire? And then she remembered the vortex of the golden eyed man who spun in the shadows. Spinning, spinning, spinning, as her head draped over the enclosure to feed the beast within.

Red dripped in front of the imp's eyes. Deep, rich red in which she saw pooled on the ground to mirror her own body. The deep darks of her face, barren, exposed to the skin underneath. Ankle, mauled and shattered at the bone, disfigured. Neck, punctured and ripped of fur. And Khusobek would stand across the pool of blood as a twin figure in the same skin, in the same world.

Of course, there was no blood.
And she remained uninjured.

Khusobek..

"She sees." Kheti. The name almost fled the yaret. So much time had been spent in Akashingo as a quiet snake that Muat-riya had gone missing to the woman, but Legend did good to try and refresh the names of Khusobek's family. There was Eset's falling whose many rumors touched back to the woman, and Machiavelli who had been missing to the yaret, but now she could smell him but not see him at all. He avoided her. There was the prisoner man who had left gifts.

Now the mazoi who showed he had been attacked. Now Kheti's promotion.

Legend offered a wave of her tail once, twice, and a smooth blink. "There should be pride of Kheti." What was the word for expressing acknowledgement of ones successes? She did not know. Or perhaps, for some reason, could not manage to remember right now. Could not remember. Could not remember.

Her nose pointed at his face. All of him, really, but she had to pick somewhere. "Does he feel it?" Khusobek must have been touched by immortality, she felt. And he would always be immortal in her mind. Unburdened by pain. How?

legend surveyed him with an almost vampiric thirst for the new rage which soto had bitten into his hide. but he answered nothing with more than a look.

"i would like to take them both on their first march, if kiyya agrees. but after that, yaret, they will learn from us both." he and legend had never submitted to one another, and yet there remained a great respect. he wished the same for his children.

now she asked after him, and his face slackened somewhat. not for the horror of torn flesh but for the remembered moment, the agony of sanity breaking;

"i feel it, legend," and hoarsely said, his voice all but exposed the man. abruptly he turned about and began to clean his wrist. "is there anything i should know of our patrol grounds beyond akashingo?"

Really, had it been anyone else, Legend would not have given a damn. Few people that littered this earth served importance. Khusobek, maybe, also served little importance, so it was strange to her when her heart fell. Maybe Khusobek's purpose rested in the warmth felt in the mazoi's presence. Regardless, it tugged the woman's heart in an irritating fashion and if the man was capable of eliciting that response, then she'd just have to find a way to burn it out.

But Khuosobek, of all of them, did not deserve pain. For whatever reason Legend felt that, she did- terribly confusing as it was.

Had it been Senmut mauled and pained, there'd be a deeper care to worm into the prince's arms than actual concern for the aches.

Pity it wasn't the failed prince, or maybe vacant Machiavelli, for that matter.

Then she'd find many pros into being a princess for a temporary moment and not so much.. Upset for them, maybe.

Khusobek would do better to learn how to be less confusing!

"Not recent. Have been in.. Akashingo for all this time, since the Pharaoh and King had their children. So.. Not sure what is out there now. Will find out. For now, Eset sends me out on secret mission." Oh. "That not so secret now because I told you." A smile formed on the yaret. "Will be happy to teach yah kids with yah when all done!

he was strangely comforted by legend's presence. "a secret mission?" he asked dryly, though his eyes teased and said they would not press. "it seems our hebsut is a woman of many aims."

admiration stood in his tones.

"what will you teach them first?" he inquired, hiding a wince as he set his paw down again. jerking his head for legend to follow, khusobek moved back into the deeper shade of the cenote.

"Se-cret." A spicy smile.

She treasured time with Khusobek because the man brought real jewels to her. And so why did that feeling reside when there were no gems around? Even with the warriors body shredded and grizzly.

Rattled her head.

Too much thinking.

Done with that.

The mans side was flanked and followed quickly, but with the same thinking that had sworn shut off after a new question poked and prodded around. Her body leaned towards his should his weight have shifted too far over to fall.

Teaching? Teaching what Khusobek wanted to teach was a good first answer, or teaching what was on the regime that day. Instead, Khusobek asked what will you teach them? An entirely open question, and her head started to deteriorate and burn at the seams. What was she supposed to do? The woman's head swiveled and darted for authority. She saw no prince or pharaoh with a list and order to follow.

Khusobek spoke to her like a person and she didn't know how to handle it.

"Ahm. Didnt think that far yet. What I would teach?" Her head fell inches. "Only good at things Khusobek probably doesn't want children knowing. Like, lying and acting." Worship maybe the only well received one. Nobody appreciated those things of her. She squinted, awfully confused. "You sure you want.. me? My help?" When he could've asked anyone else- Like Meseba or even Nazli, Eset. Those with respect to their name. Had they all told him no?

"lying and acting? of course i do," khusobek laughed, the pain in his body forgotten for now. observing legend with a mixture of interest and amusement. "you would teach them things no royal tutor would know. and it is what they need to be mazoi."

she was yaret. there could be no better instructor.

"i am going to the sesh to see about this. will you come with me?" he asked, wishing her company with a silent fervor he would not admit.

smiles; smirks; they moved toward the cenote halls, khusobek regaling legend with stories of other places, other things accomplished.
