ooc: @Njord possibly, anyone else can greet her though!

Esme had never lived many feet above sea level.

The mountain air was cool and breezy like that of the sea, but it was thinner somehow, and lacking the scent of brine that her nose knew so well. She had climbed dunes of sand that challenged her footing but never had she scaled the impossible height of a mountain, where misplaced footing could be a death sentence.

She had traveled well into the mountain range and on this rainy morning, she at last arrived at the borders of the pack she sought: a pack whose territory spanned the tallest and most intimidating peak of them all, cutting into the sky like a bear's canine tooth. The borders were marked by Innisfree scent, a scent she knew and shared. She was not sure which of her relatives she would find here, but that did not matter to Esme. Her only wish was to be sheltered by familiarity, after her months of lonely travel.

Halting shy of the border to Moonspear, the pale she-wolf tilted her snout skyward and emitted an echoing howl, an announcement of her presence.

Moonspear was a busy, thriving pack. Their numbers were many, and soon they would swell. The seeds of new life had been planted, yet to bloom for months to come.

Elentari kept active and busy. Modifying or adding to her ulaq, or going foraging for herbs. Before they knew it, she and Sialuk would need them close at hand.

It was in the middle of stocking a cache, when she heard a call from the borders. She was close and had no reason to ignore it. Still in her original figure, but with an added surge of slight protection, the Archer went towards it. She appeared with a high tail, but a non hostile air. Steele blue eyes warm but expectant on the wolf. "You stand at Moonspear. How may I help you?"

Time passed slowly, but Esme could wait. She seated herself with her tail wrapped neatly around her front paws, wearing a serene expression.  In reality, it took only moments for her call to be answered.

The footsteps were quiet but Esme's ears were keen. Then the she-wolf appeared, a stunning one, with pale eyes and a coat of coal and smoke. Before the woman spoke Esme was already on her feet, tail and ears lowered in observance of the other's superiority.

Moonspear. It was a fitting name for the pack's territory. "Hello, miss" she spoke. "I am Esme Innisfree. I followed the scent of a blood relative here... I don't know whose scent it is," she explained this as simply as she could, aware that it might be a confusing tale. "But I was hoping to join your ranks. I am not sure... where else to turn."

Sialuk was not surprised to see Elentari already greeting the call for an audience. Her partner was with child, just as Sialuk herself was, and the head of village Moonspear kissed her lover gently on the cheek before turning to the stranger.

This woman greets you. I am head of village Moonspear, Sialuk Ostrega.

A stranger called. Njord followed the voice, but when he arrived her spied both Elentari and Sialuk on the scene. Before them stood a young woman with a dust-colored pelage.

With the situation under control, Njord turned to leave… however, a name stopped him in his tracks. Innisfree.

The surname of his late father’s wife. It was like a bridge to his past was revealed.

Njord joined the greeting party the duo became a trio.

“Did Ah hear ye correct, miss… yer name is Innisfree?” he asked.

Joined by Sialuk, who was just as expecting as herself, Elentari nosed her pale cheek in an open gesture of affection. "And I am Elentari Archer. It is nice to meet you, Esme." She did not think much on the surname the woman offered, though was curious of what blood relative she had mentioned.

That interest peaked as Njord arrived, openly voicing his curiosity. Glancing to spare the busy man a warm smile, she sought Sialuk's take on the matter. Then, blue eyes flashed back to Esme, silently encouraging her to emphasize further.
