He did, however, catch what his step-father-in-law had to say to Fennec, though, and he skidded to a halt for a moment, casting an almost horrified glance from Phox to Fennec, back to Phox, and then back to Fennec. Part of him wanted to hear her answer- simply because he dreaded the thought of her saying yes, and meaning...Well, someone she'd met there. And if she said no, well then.
