Apparently, it was too soon. He turned his head a bit to see her expression pan to something both blank and twisted with emotion, so he wasn't entirely certain what was running through her mind at that moment. But she stalked off with brisk stiffness, though it was the last thing he'd expected her to do. He thought that she might at least stay with him to make sure that he recovered fine- but then again, maybe she knew that he would, and that he didn't need her to babysit him while he got his breath back. He felt a bit hurt that she chose to leave him to gasp and drool in the mud, and when he tried to move he found soreness rippling through the muscles of his ribs and shoulders- and there would be no way he could ask her for something to treat the pain.

After all, he'd likely just collapsed the den that stored her entire herb supply. Even if she'd had something to give him, it was probably a few feet underground anyway.

There'd been pain in her steps as she'd left him, so he knew then that she'd need some time to tend to herself as well, and he couldn't help but feel incredibly guilty. Looking around, he could see the pocket of land that had collapsed inward, trapping with it everything she'd worked so hard to store. She had every right to be absolutely furious with him...But he'd make it up to her- one way or another, he'd make it up to her.
