He would have to take a quick trip, at some point, to go to Moonglow and inform Antares and Kukutux that he'd officially joined with the Redhawks, but it was too hard to pry himself away, when he felt himself drawn to Fennec's side like a magnet. He hadn't made himself terribly useful to any but her, yet, though he knew he would eventually settle in and find his place within the pack once more. For some reason, though, he found himself wanting more and more to shirk whatever responsibilities he'd picked up, as far as patrolling the borders or keeping track of caches. With each passing day, it felt more and more as though the only place he could be, the only place he wanted to be- was close by Fennec's side.

He begrudgingly gave her space when she wanted to go check on Towhee and her kids, which gave him a bit of time to himself to digest the news that his mother had wandered off- heavy with child, broken leg and all- after having had a tiff with Phox. It felt exhausting, to him, to even wonder what had happened to his mother. His concern was spared mostly for the unborn siblings, which should have been born by now he thought, and for Phox, who had gone off in search of his ex-mate. If there was some way that the kids could be brought home without their basket-case of a mother, then he felt everything could be solved- but he knew his mother well enough to know that once she set her mind to something, it was hard to convince her to change it. If she'd decided to run off and keep her kids away from her family, she'd do whatever it took to make sure she got what she wanted.

It was nauseating to think about, so he tried not to waste too much time thinking about it. This was accomplished much more easily when he felt the same stirring within his entire body as Fennec kept him preoccupied. Her plans for the day sounded exactly ideal to him, so with a love-drunk smile, he rolled over onto his side, and pushed himself up onto his feet so that he could take two lazy steps toward her, and rub his muzzle against her shoulder, with an affectionate growl. "You don't have to tell me twice," He said, reaching out to preen the fur behind her ear. Their new arrangement made him feel happier than he'd ever been.
