Most of Wraen's journeys outside Firebirds' nest were for practical reasons - gone were the days, when she would wander for the sake to explore only. Funny, she thought, how life had a tendency to go in full circles. There she was a year ago, stationed at Sunspire with eight hungry mouths to feed and three mothers to provide for, working herself in the ground to keep everyone fed and vowing never to get in the same situation again. And this summer? Pack had changed, location had changed, but the number of kids had not and here she was again, expanding her horizons to keep everyone going. The only difference being that down on the plains the food was easier to come by.

She frequented the coastal area, scavenging for the morsels of food that the ocean had brought forth. However, the tides had changed and with no bounty there, the little hunter had walked further inland. It turned out to be a lucky move - lemmings had made home at the seaside moors. And by the looks and sound of it - many too. Two fruitful hours later her belly was full and she felt a pleasant tiredness in her limbs. But her intention to lie down and rest before her return home was interrupted by change in the winds that brought a fresh smell of another wolf in the vicinity. Curious and wary she walked through the grass, tasting the air carefully, trying to located the stranger. She was not far.
