"they're always coming to ursus, blustering. running their mouths. they leave covered in blood, or not at all," he grinned.

"as we are allies, i felt it necessary to show my face here." co-leaders, rulers; merrick did not trust donovan outside of bloodshed and lust, but was prepared to embrace the tiger fully in more ways than had already occurred. their bond might grow.
