For a moment, she veritably became Lyra, the darling princess of the trio, not Hydra, the warrior, battle-hardened princess. Hydra shook out her furs then, and looked thoughtful for a moment. Maybe thats how our parents became friends—the stars, she wondered at that. She had been told, once, long ago, that the stars often brought many paths together. Hydra wasn't sure she believed that but now understood it in a more literal context—such as talking about them. That made sense.
