Each blow she delivers lands perfectly, with little retribution. The being seemed to relish in the pain, and Hydra was unrelenting; she would kill him, if he did not move, and relish in the act herself. But soon he fled, and she rumbled to her sisters to stay before she snarled savagely: Come back, and we will finish what we've started. They would do it now, if not for the fact that Rannoch lay there bleeding at their feet. One could not kill the Fates—it was they who decided what to do with the threads of life, and on this day, they spared his own. One need not fear death to know it was coming for them. His would not be the first life she had taken. When she did snuff the violent light from his eyes, it still would not be the last. 

She licked her bloodied chops before she sunk her teeth into Rannoch's ruff. She looked to her sisters, who would surely help her. The adrenaline she felt did not allow her to be unnerved, then, but she would not soon forget the sound of Vaati's laughter. He was mad—he was the first of his kind she had met. He needed to die, she decided, as she began to move Rannoch back toward Moonspear with her mirror images.
