The trio faded from view, and as Gannet returned her gesture Hydra considered this. She did not want to be the cause of Towhee's upset but sensed that was not the case in the exchange. Probably disappointed, she acknowledged, looking to Gannet, but you're happy, and she supports you enough to not challenge your choice, unlike Liffey, it sounded like. Towhee hadn't disallowed him from seeing anybody, either, which meant if he wanted to he could surely see his family when weather—and his recovery—permitted. 

Hydra could understand her disappointment, though. Gannet was a great wolf all around. A great friend. He reminded her in many ways of Towhee, which was probably why she liked him so much. Honest, blunt, to the point, strong, and a true friend. One that stood by her, even when it was difficult. She would do the same for him, of course. He was one of the two wolves without her surname she would do that for. 

The Beta shifted her weight. C'mon, let's go find something to eat, she suggested with a wave of her tail, moving to drift back into their territory.
