Moonspear for the realm

Although Hydra believed she could were things, well, different... she knew she did not have to. Leading was no burden; in fact, it was a privilege, one that she had worked all of her life for. Dirge had married into royalty, but more than that, she felt he had earned his place alongside her. He had remained ever by her side, and her memory was sharp. His time away had not been forgotten, but neither had his loyalty to her throughout it all. In the end, he had returned to her and remained. 

Though she knew he meant well by his words, Hydra's gaze turned to look over his shoulder. She had not wanted it to happen like this, but had it? No—not really. They crowned me, the two of them, before... her eyes fell back to him. We will. We will bring about our lofty goals, and acheive what her father could not. His legacy was the Mountain, but hers, theirs, would be that and more—the Wilderness would belong to the two of them, and in time: We will see ours desires become reality.
