Calhoun and Célnes finally found the location. When they entered the forest, they were greeted by various of herds within the land. It was rich in vegetation, and the forest was similar to their old home. It was clear to the two, that He was here, and was where he finally led them to be.

She howled in Hideaway Strath, and carried the song all the way to the new forest. A chorus of them all, she hoped they would all follow her lead onto this song for the new land.

They were finally home.

Calhoun need not an explanation, he had seen it with his own eyes. The joy that struck him was enough to erase the days, no weeks of dread and hate that had been brewing over his cousin's actions. All that mattered was him, and now the had been reunited with their God. Célnes left to call their family, but he couldn't find it in him to follow her back to the temporary claim. No, he stayed. He wanted to watch, observe the apostles. Explore the land that they would call theirs. There was so much to do until they could officially settle in, but no matter the time it would take, it was all that consumed him now. As the call came through though as his King neared with her song to claim, Calhoun would tip his head back to join.

For the first time in many many moons, Henryk ran in tandem with a pack.

The feeling was odd and he'd have a long ways to go to find his footing among them, but his heart did swell in his chest as the Déorwine King performed her song. Sunbathed-forest eyes were alit with wonder to the prospect of this Great Elk being here- perhaps the one that had truly reached out and called him forth to be a part of this. He was still unsure of his own validity regarding that, but he could have been fooled in the heat of the moment.

Although there was a moment of insecurity to let himself sing along with them- he couldn't resist the temptation for long. Tilting his maw to the sky, he lent his voice to the hymn.

And it felt absolutely enlightening.

two mountain ranges now separated germanicus from ursus, and subsequently from ico. he knew it would be best to put the vestal from his mind, but during the pauses in travel, the round glow of the moon brought a new chasm within.

home. for them.

he did not raise his voice as the clan of elk-worshippers began to sing; the eaglebound melted into the backdrop of the forest, a shadow that managed only to stay near célnes.

the bard arrives relatively early for a wolf of his ilk.  he favors being fashionably late, but he supposes that today he can stand to present himself in a timely manner.  his cousin (king -- he should say) begins the song, and while normally he would be bitter about not being the star of this ballad, he is glad to be apart of history in the making.  ravinger joins his kin both in body and melody.  though he aims to be on his best behavior today, not even that can stop him from the flourish he adds to his howl.  when he tips his head back, he adds what he would insist is a bit of flavor to the devotional hymn.  he is nothing if not opulent.

It was a large forest. Beautifully made not by the common sight of pine and other evergreen she had seen here, but old trees, trees like oak and sequoia and elm, who's trunks were think and branches out stretching. Large and powerful like the mighty herds of elk which lived here. They had also passed a lake, created by a blockage of heavily packed dam by the beavers which lived there. Unknowing yet, a river passed through their new home. It was a forest indeed full of life and promise and seemingly tucked away in the corner of the world away from prying eyes. They were home. The old woman sighed with happy relief and laid to the forest floor, joining the song of her family into the crisp air.

Though he was young and on his own, Kiyoshi did not shy away from the other wolves of Kingslend. After all, he knew that his mother would quickly follow him into their fold and that they could search for Toshi together to make sure that the other boy was returned home. It would be easier when all of them belonged to a pack again and could set their sights on growth and development, as well as proving their prowess.

Their leader called into the skies. Though his voice was smaller than the others, Kiyoshi drew back his head and followed suit. The howl that sounded from his lips joined in with the others. The young Draconid wondered if his mother had heard their song and if she would be there soon.
