All Welcome
when germanicus had read the churning in the dirt left by the ill-fated conflict, he had discovered where a saint had come for the white wolf.

it was curious to him. he had not come for @War, but it had found the eagle all the same.

the edge of the sunspire loomed.

The warrior ghost had lurked off from the war as Ursus did not seem to have any interest in her. They had not chased her, nor had they even spoken a word to her. She felt it was useless to chase Nyra like they did, instead she began to wander, aimlessly. Where did one go when the war had come and gone so abruptly and all she knew was war? She felt like nothing, so empty, so hollow and gone, like everything she knew had ended. The saints were no more, nor did she have any interest in it.

She was slowly coming to the realization that no matter what she felt, no matter where she went, Nyra would haunt her memory. She had felt something for Nyra that no one could have foreseen, no one could have warned her about it, but now it was all gone, a distant memory of something that used to be. It was gone. Gone like any rational mind of hers. She was nothing but a ghostly being, wandering the earth, haunting those in it.

War had no interest in staying behind, no interest in coming back either, but she did return. She saw a black man stand there, he stood in the shadows of the mountains, she almost wanted to bare her teeth at him, warn him to leave before she would get upset, but she realized she felt nothing. She wasn't angry, she wasn't upset, she was just; empty. Deprived of emotion her heartbreak and the disaster that had unfolded here was all that was felt inside. She watched him as she came closer, on another day she might have wondered what he was doing here, but now she did not care.

She sniffed the ground for blood, she sniffed out Nyra's blood and looked in the direction she had run off, that day. She felt a deep rumble beneath, she felt an urge to run after her, but what would she do once she had caught her? That day she had been so ready to kill her, now she was almost glad she hadn't. She had never been so conflicted, up until this day everything had been so black and white in her world. Now it was torn and destroyed.

She looked at the male again, with nothing but questions written on her face. What did he want from her? Who was he? She almost spoke, but chose not to. She knew the old enemy lurked nearby, she could not be safe. She was a previous saint after all, someone who had made enemies. Was he one of them?

the wolf who appeared before him was massive.

hued in red and grey and darker tones, the scent was familiar. "you fought alongside ursus against nyra." the eagle's voice was not a command nor an accusation. here and alone he would not court conflict.

the feral eyes rested upon him.

"i seek her. she must stand for her crimes."

the words were a test, and germanicus braced to know their truth.

Just to clarify to myself. This happened before War joined up with Nyra in Moonglow XD

"you fought alongside ursus against nyra." Alone, confused and now directed at, War did not want to answer right away. She wanted to refuse to speak to him, this black man. Her emotions were deeply hidden and tucked away, even from herself. She hadn't considered that she had fought alongside Ursus, but maybe she had? She didn't like that.

"No." There came no clarification, no more words. She was too empty, too tired to think of a proper way to express herself. Nor did she find a need to express herself clearly to this stranger. She didn't want another enemy, she didn't want to help him either. Nyra had betrayed War beyond her own imagination, but still. If Nyra was to pend for that crime, War could not aid someone else.

"i seek her. she must stand for her crimes." Seek her? War didn't express anything upon these words. She stared him down, her wild eyes captured by a different place, a different time. She wasn't present in that moment, but then, just as fast as she had left, she returned to the present time.

"Nyra is mine" What did that even mean? Nyra didn't belong to anyone, but War sure didn't act that way. She felt a growl she didn't know she could make, it came from deep within and came out of her mouth, even if she didn't want it.

"Nyra betrayed me. She is mine to deal with." War didn't know she felt this way, she wasn't even sure if it was real. But the words came out regardless and carelessly.

were all the saints so hell-bent upon vengeance?

germanicus shook his head. he knew that there was risk here in angering the large warrior. "nyra's betrayal is the least of her crimes. she has killed two and maimed another. she must live to see a full justice."

his yellowpaint eyes studied her stricken and feral face.

"who is she to you?" what had inspired such a vicious attack from one who was once so loyal?
