All Welcome
backdated to may 26! open to @Arktos, @Nephele, & @Zaahira <3 @Legend & @Machiavelli may cameo! no posting order!

after the happenings of the last days, senmut's stride was easier, perhaps even more brazen. he traveled throughout the day at the side of one or another. "brecheliant has never had the strength to spare for our cause," he commented to zaahira, "but that is not our bond with them. our is more a role of alliance."

great beasts roamed now, and the red prince called a halt by midmorning. "these are bison," he murmured, for himself as well as others. but to see them alive was quite shocking, jarring even; their curled horns and hard, intelligent eyes were only pinpoint details in the mountains of muscle and flesh.

he called out now, announcing the arrival of akashingo as sovereign nation upon trade outreach.

not very many things got past zaahira, especially not when those things included knowing who was having sex with who. senmut had a glow about him, and while she did not comment on this, she snuck a brow-arched glance here and there to the priest which was the equivalent of a fist-bump.
i am disappointed, but not surprised, she'd said to him, tail lashing behind her in a swift curve. if they wish to be simple, let them be simple, and if they wish to be soft, let them be soft. it is their bed to lie in. i just hope they will not become a burden to us.
the landscape grew more and more foreign the further they ranged from akashingo. zaahira had nearly forgotten that she used to be such a commoner, living off the riches of the land around her.
have you never seen bison? she is entertained by the red-faced man's expression of awe. one of the large creatures chuffs at her, grumbling, watching her with dark, wary eyes. they are quite formidable, yes? i wonder if we could manage a herd of our own. perhaps they would make good protection.
she wonders if they could convince the yellowstone wolves to make a donation.

she is jaded in the midst of her return, worn from travel and longing for the warmth of her husband beside her while she slept. but it is not without wonder and a sharp tsk, that she turns to let ears cup towards the call of diplomacy.

a part of her wished to ignore their bellow, to saunter off and sleep instead. but she is turning to meet them quicker than she would any other, her steps steady despite the weight of weathered muscles pulling her down.

she moved through the bison as water flowed through a stream, her wariness of them little now as the wolves of yellowstone became one with the herd. and in the collection of hulking giants, did the lithe viper slither through, poison stained eyes locked on the figures in the distance.

"you tread the claim of yellowstone," she calls to them once near, her gaze drifting between each body as she appraised them. "speak why you've come."

"i know only their pelts from our trade in moontide," senmut professed, his eyes recognizing the expression upon zaahira's face. "brecheliant is no burden and its leadership will only become younger. we shall have what we desire."

a woman was coming, moving confidently around and among the great hoofed beasts. "zaahira," senmut said quietly, "speak nothing of our numbers. let them believe they are seen and surrounded." it was not a scold; he smiled darkly and bowed his head to receive the woman.

"i am senmut, erpa-ha of akashingo. this is zaahira, our jodai and military commander. we have come from the red palace," akashingo, dominating the flatlands with its height, "and wish to establish trade with our new neighbor in exchange for military agreements. we are a very wealthy nation who has recently expanded our trade-route as far as the coastline. the pharaoh offers her protection to such partnerships."
