quietly he led the tall man from their trail along the mudminnow and deeper into the valley. stone stood proof to mark the place where kvarsheim stood.

he was pressing on then, moving into a trot that carried them beyond the lake of ducks and into the creekland, glinting now with sunglow and guarded by great trees. here he paused, drew a sigh of gentle pleasure to be returned, and called out to leadership.

Frederick wordlessly followed Lestan, looking down to the south as they had went. He wondered if the ring of tall stones was of any importance, but nonetheless focused on the trek from the river to the creek. When Lestan slowed, Frederick followed suit, looking out to the deer as he spoke.
Standing tall, Frederick waited with perked ears and an alert posture. If he wished to be accepted, he wouldn't be seen lazing about.
A pretty name,he hummed, thinking back to the caribou that he and his people used to hunt. New leaders always came eventually. Then, again, they were back on the move. He watched as the terrain changed once they pushed past the lake. The trees stood like sentinels: the creeks protectors. He watched Lestan send a call through the air.

Wish me luck,he whispered, before falling quiet once more.

Arric heard the call and after lifting his children off of him. A gentle kiss to ARlette. He headed in the direction of the wolf's call. He recognized the lilting sound as Lestan's and slowly made his way to them. Blue eyes taking in the scene.
A hulking male that rivaled even himself. IT was a pleasant surprise. He tilted his head and nodded.
Then he waited, tail hanging nicely in quiet repose. HE was not yet overtly showing his leadership, but he was not to be trifled with was clear.

Hello Lestan. Who've you brought with you?

"h-hello, arric. th-this is frederick. he's l-looking f-for s-someone," the mayfair managed before he had to pause and recollect his words. "i t-told him a-akavir was g-gone f-for now, b-but if anyone h-has in-information, it w-would be us."
the giant was gifted a gentler look, one even speculative.
"he's s-said he w-wants to st-stay." for now; did it hang as implication between the three of them? lestan hoped not.

Feel free to void/skip Federick!! he's mostly just listening unless spoken to directly.
The pawsteps of a stranger rode on the wind, the sound registering in Frederick's mind as someone of leadership, considering the fact that they were the one to answer the call. A dark figure arrived, left eye framed by a ring of white. Large, but the slightest bit smaller than the white goliath.
He allowed Lestan to speak for him, looking at him as he spoke, introducing Frederick, saying that he wanted to stay. Arric, Lestan had said. He'd memorize that name. He wasn't Akavir, but he seemed important. Frederick nodded once Lestan had finished speaking, adding:
Yes. I want to stay, if that's alright with you.

Arric didn't csre one bit about size. He measured his life in miles not inches. And he hated when the measure of a man came down to size. It was moments like that he wanted to say whip it out and measure dick, but he never did.
He listened closely and studied.
He listened closely and studied.
What can you offer our pack? And what are you expecting? There has been some trouble brewing around the wilds, not here specifically. And I apologize if that seems evasive questioning, but.

he fell into grateful silence as arric began to speak, ears lifting as he glanced toward frederick from time to time.
being the largest pack in the valley had its downsides, to be sure, but they also offered a great protection to those who followed.
a smile encouraged the large wolf to speak, though lestan remained respectfully quiet.

Not at all evasive,Frederick said with a polite shake of his head.
I'm not expecting much, I don't think: A place to sleep, community,he began.
I can hunt big game. My family were expert caribou hunters, tracking—and defending, when it came to rival packs encroaching on our food source. I can also fish.Frederick had never typically had to advocate for himself, but he hoped his first time proved enticing.
I can fight, albeit he was no berserker; no true warrior, but he knew how to keep himself safe, how to keep others safe.
And I understand the basics of marking territory. He hoped this resume of sorts was "impressive" enough to garner him a place within the pack. He wasn't experienced at all when it came to sick, elderly and children, but he hoped that he could be considered useful.

Arric didn't know how he felt about this wolf. And he wondered if he would stay or if he would get what he wanted which was a place to stay come winter and then leave as soon as spring came upon them. However, beggers couldn't be choosers and he was pretty sure that young and old was a pretty even keel in the creek and he was not about to turn away help for the winter months.
Arric nodded. It was an impressive bare bones resume, he'd give the white beast that.
Then Arric would begin to turn away if there was nothing else to be done.

Very well. Welcome to the creek. Lestan can you show him around? Find him a place to sleep. Once you rest and eat. Look for @Akavir. He's the Alpha. He s hould meet you.

happy to fade or keep going another round :)
that was easy enough.
"th-thank you, arric," lestan murmured, dipping his head respectfully as the giant man turned to presumably rejoin his place with arlette.
"well?" the mayfair asked with some brightness, peace in his honeyblue eyes for once. "wh-what s-sort of p-place do y-you w-want to s-sleep?"
he meant to spend several hours upon this tour, pausing at a cache of fresh fish and another for the tender meat of newly hunted venison before they began a stroll into the silver birches which lined their proud creek.

archiving it here!! <3
Frederick breathed a sigh of relief as the dark figure headed back towards where he had come from. He looked over at Lestan, smiling with quite the bit of pride.
Something...he hummed for a moment, thinking back to his homelife, before he came to the teekons. Their second den, under the roots of the tree near a clifface.
...Well, anything,he shrugged.
But if you have any comfortable spots under the shade of a tree, that'd be preferred. His answer was casual, falling into a comfortable silence before the tour would begin. A nod of his head, a flick of his tail, an update to the mental map.
He wondered if maybe this pack-life would stick, perhaps even well after he found his brother. Hm...
