I know we already have one, so this can be quick! @Callyope, if you have time?
Catamaran has searched first for @Solharr, but the man was nowhere to be found. So he sought out Callyope instead, frustrated and relieved in equal measures.

He did not particularly want to talk to either of them, but he was unwilling to depart without a word. They were, after all, going to kin of this woman.

foxfur draped over winter furred shoulders. she wore it for the feeling of mother’s embrace more than she did any kind of warmth.

she had been checking over the condition of a strip of deer pelt that had been worked tirelessly upon.

her eyes did not lift from it when she heard motion.

come, she invited in hushed tones.

He found her, and he was invited closer. Catamaran came a few steps forward, leaving a more conversational distance between them.

"I am taking Seastorm to Moonspear," he said without preamble. "One of their emissaries told me they have experienced healers."

His eyes dropped to the deer pelt. He wondered if it was one that he'd brought to her.

every moon village was blessed with such, she thought.

especially moonspear. the pale image of a sister in her mind now. she only nodded softly.

take this with you and bestow it upon the healer. she moved to place the deer hide with him now. will you stay there with her?

she thought she knew, she wished to hear.

"Thank you," he replied, inwardly begrudging the gesture. He did not want to be even further in this pack's debt, but he supposed this might also be delivered as a gift from Callyope to her own kin, with Catamaran only being the middle man. That thought comforted him — and then her question saw him contemplative once more.

Would he stay? Though he knew the answer as well, the question had still plagued him for some nights. He did not like the idea of staying in such a religious pack, but he liked even less the thought of leaving a debt behind.

"She can't pay her own way," he replied without inflection. "I'll come back and help with a few more hunts once she's shored up and settled. And then..."

He was not sure Moonspear would be any more palatable. But —

"I'll have to go back to her," he concluded.

she had formed an idea in her mind.

now she spilled it upon his ears, like water over a duck's back.

do not leave her alone in a new place. she instructed now with nothing but thoughtfulness. moonspear was safe and would be warm, but to a wounded one? the trip would exhaust her enough, the change of scenery with nothing new might only agitate further.

stay with her the whole time. if you walk between two villages, her spirit will be restless in your absence. she will not heal in such a state.

did he hear? did he understand?

forneskja is not so far that none of us can make the walk for you.
