Bramblepoint steam machine / too long

The strange scent she had noted at Bramblepoint with Towhee the day they had sparred was upon her mind. Alya had not found the source of it that day, but Hydra was determined too. She left Moonspear with the intent to return swiftly, hopefully with whatever that strange scent had belonged to. She had raced to Bramblepoint and slowed upon her arrival there, panting due to the particularly warm weather this Spring morning had brought. 

Her nose was pressed against the earth. The scent was strange as now and then it disappeared entirely. What she did not know was that this was due to the creature being a bird with an injured wing that could not keep in the air the entirety of the time, but tried. She found a bloodied feather and sniffed at it, hot on the trail of the avian creature but uncertain as to what, exactly, she would come across. She had hunted birds plenty of times but had little luck in catching them.
