Hydra sighed, understanding all of that. There was precious little time, and she rumbled in her discontent at the idea of the litter being born in the same place her own children were. That seemed wrong, and none but her mother had earned such a privilege. I do not want her to give birth upon our mountain. I would not mind protection extending to them, should the need arise, but I want your grandchildren to be the priority. Speedy's children could be bait, for all Hydra cared, for the predators... but Speedy herself had lied, and there would be consequence to that. Would her father permit dishonesty from others? To do so was to permit it to continue, and she would not enable the behavior.
