For the first time, she felt that Lestan was treating her differently. He was being kind, but even so, she wasn't sure how she felt about it. What kind of wolf avoided hunting? What did that make her? Lestan was okay with it, but she didn't know if she was. It was hard to separate her desires from her fears, intertwined as they were.
