Sun Mote Copse so rested he by the tumtum tree

He was glad to see Elfie pull away from Sugar Glider. He felt more entitled to her attention, for no real reason of course, and was pleased to see that he decided to go off on his own. He was relieved that Elfie hadn't been killed of course- and part of him even envied the boy for getting injured, as that wound on his face might leave a cool scar, and he'd at least have a story to tell about the whole encounter- but knowing he'd survived was enough, and he didn't feel it was necessary to have him stick around. 

Of course, he couldn't make it seem that way, otherwise Sugar might resent him. So when he volunteered to go and find Wraen, Bronco nodded. "S'a good idea," He said, perhaps with a bit too much enthusiasm, so he reigned it in a bit. "Be careful, Elfie," He said, this time sounding more convincing. He watched as Elfie went off, and supposed that yes, it was a good idea for Elfie to go and tell Wraen what'd happened. He didn't look forward to getting questioned- but at least without any injuries, his Mom would have no reason to tighten her hold on him, right? He nosed Sugar's cheek. 

"You c'n lean on me," He offered, hoping it might prompt her to do so and to keep moving alongside him as they stumbled slowly away from the river's edge. He wanted to be nowhere near the ridge of mountains that lined the opposite bank of the river, lest another, stronger shake happen again.
