He wasn't sure if it was the summer heat, and how it had begun to intensify, or if it was because he still felt left-behind and ashamed, but he felt the days drag on slowly, and had lost some of the spirit in his step. When left to his own devices, Bronco would patrol the borders with a distant gaze, dutifully fulfilling his job as a guardian as he'd been advised by Towhee, but he found he'd begun to lose interest. Maybe it was because it was simply him wandering around the borders every day- the same path, the same surroundings...And he knew better than to be ungrateful for the calm- but he wasn't sure that this was really the quality of life he wanted for himself. He wanted something- but he wasn't quite sure what it was. 

He put on a brave face for the others, but he'd not been visiting the Rendez-vous site as regularly as he had, and had yet to even move back into the area as he was still more or less avoiding his mother. But...He couldn't stay away from his siblings for more than a day or so, and when he heard a voice demanding his presence, he stopped in his tracks and laughed softly. He'd earned this- he was Alyx's knight now, so he had to answer her beck and call. He was a bit tired from having patrolled the borders, and he could tell even by this point in the day that it was likely to be a hot day- but he trotted toward the clearing nonetheless, tongue lolling out as he caught sight of his little sister. 

"Hey, Princess," He chuffed, and uttered an affectionate growl as he reached out to give her cheek a lick. He sat down, so he could at least take a break before she inevitably made plans for them. "'Cha wanna do today, pretty girl?" He asked in his calm baritone.
