Hideaway Strath Bad Habits

Forward-dated to tomorrow, 9/1/22! @Arashi @Sovereign @Turmeric @Adlartok @Arlette and @Maiken Please everyone, make at least one post in this thread!

It had been six whole  months now since her daughter had been born. And even though her siblings, @Credence, @Elias and @Panacea were gone, Fury knew that time would keep moving on, and so should they; no matter how hard it was.
So, the Warqueen prowled through the Strath until she was upon the stones from which she would summon the rest of the pack, to promote her daughter into the adult ranks.

Once everyone was gathered, the Warchief would raise her voice up for them all to hear.
"Today is a special day. My daughter, Sovereign, is now six months old, and it is time she joins the adult ranks as a Private." Fury announced, smiling warmly at her daughter who sat excitedly below the large boulders.

Making some assumptions. Let me know if I need to change anything!

Today, the strath celebrated. With so few privates within their hold, opportunities for growth had been few. Now that they would have another, perhaps the others would take advantage of the addition and spend more time on bettering themselves. @Adlartok was who he thought of most in this instance, as he was the only other he knew to have potential as a future blade.

Making his appearance to the ceremony, Arashi moved towards the stone upon which Fury stood. He sat upon the ground beside them, eyes fixed carefully over the shape of Sovereign. 

Maiken nosed her way into the clearing. She listened with ears perked forward and spared a gentle smile to the girl that was ascending into the adult ranks. She wondered if there was anything else that was to be spoken of. She had started the herbal caches she wanted. With Arlette's help.

Congratulations. She said sweetly.

Artok boldly limped into the meeting. He settled near the medic Maiken and watched with golden eyes as they were speaking and doing what was needed. Ears flicked forward, as he inclined his head to Arashi and the others. His tail curled around his paws.

Artok grinned at the girl. Welcome to adulthood.

Arlette was quick to respond too. She trotted into the circle. She gave a few greetings to Maiken and Artok before settling down. She looked at Fury's little girl. Though one could hardly call her little anymore. Arlette smiled when Fury announced that Sovereign was an adult. She whoop'ed and cheered for her. More than supportive of this.

Turmeric came… a little later than the others, but by the murmuring of voices he reckoned he was still on time, and only a little tardy. He shook the plant debris from himself best he could before coming into the clearing.

Congratulations! he said with a bright smile. He didn’t know Sovereign well, but he knew Fury. His respect for her extended to her daughter, but he tried to keep his expectations separate.

Still, he thought, she looks like she could whoop my butt without even lifting a toe.

Sovereign heard the summons frm her mother as she was beginning to explore the outer edges of the Strath, up by the Ravine.
A very dangerous place, especially for the only remaining child of the Warchief...
Excitement brimmed in the young girl, making her tail wave a million miles a minute as she turned and sprinted for the gathering grounds, making it to the scene just in time before anyone else had arrived.
She took a seat at the very front as her mother smiled warmly down at her, beginning her speech once everyone else had taken their places below the stack of boulders where her mother stood tall, a radiance and authority with as much presence and power as the sun.

The congratulatories that rose from the small crowd as Sovereign turned to face them, made her beam brightly, chest swelling with ambition and pride.

She felt so happy to hear the support of her elder peers, which was evident in the nearly-eternal wagging of her tail.

Fury herself almost beamed as brightly as her daughter as the support of the rest of the pack rang through the clearing.

The Warchief waited patiently for the cheers to calm before she continued.
"That is not the only promotion taking place today. Adlartok, for his constant displays of loyalty, will be from this day forth a Blade of the Saints." She announced, looking upon the elderly man with a gaze that said the congratulations her words did not.
She looked at Turmeric with an air of thought, but her words did not ring out for him. She would talk to him personally about what he wanted his place to be among their pack.

Pride and a hint of fond joy swelled in the giant's chest.

Artok was surprised and bowed his head quickly, eyes moving from his leader's form. A sense of something he hadn't felt in years settled into his chest. He recognized it, only briefly of belonging. It had been so long since he belonged anywhere.

Thank you. Was all he said, there was nothing else to be said. He wasn't even sure if he had the words to say anything else. But he did offer her a full smile, one that wasn't often on his face.

I Hope it's okay to post. I always have a hard time remembering posting order in meetings and such.

Maiken felt a sense of pride in the youth as well. Even if she didn't know her. It was nice to see their pack growing. She nudged Adlartok fondly. Congrats. She whispered to him and then continued looking around the circle. There was a wolf she hadn't met yet, she would need to remedy that. He had a certain set of jaw to him, like Arlette.

Arlette was surprised to hear the next news. She excitedly and proudly pumped his shoulder. "Good job!," she beamed. She looked at their group. It was a good group. It really felt that they were becoming a close family unit.

Fury's heart was warm as everyone gave Adlartok congratulatory comments as well.
This truly would be a tight-knit group, the way things were turning out.
Under the warm smile however, a flame burned to be larger than they currently were.
And a rivaling flame to that desire, was the protective urge not to destroy what was already blooming right in front of her.
"That is all for now, everyone is dismissed." The Warchief stated before descending the boulders.
Her gaze would pass encouragingly to Sovereign, then to Arashi before she melded back into the terrain.
