Trade
All welcome for those going for their Scout Trade, or wish to partake without pursuing a trade. Allana will be mentally mapping Emberwood and Herbalist's Cache. A meal shall be had along the way. Random surprises welcomed!

Allana had spent most of her time exploring the vast expanse of the valley below her while standing on the fringes of Shadow Mountain. Allana had climbed most of the mountain to make her way over to the Rising Sun Valley though the smarter way probably would have been to actually go around. Her stubbornness was thick and wouldn't allow her to spend more time than necessary to get where she needed to go. Plus - Allana had found a few quick pathways to cut the time in half, though they were tad more treacherous.

Allana finally came to rest an hour later on the grassland below, her paws thanking her for the increased temperature of the ground. While outside it was still cold, they did appreciate not standing on stone. Spring had been coming around the corner, and with the light snow falling, the warm sunshine and thunderstorms seemed so far away. Allana looked around to see the various flat lands scattered about while gatherings of forests were spotted in the distance. Exploring was one thing, but rumors of a hoard of medicinal plants being near here was something she couldn't pass up.

Turning to travel northward, she followed Swiftcurrent Creek to reach the borders of Emberwood and begin her search.

she returns fairly often to the Emberwood, the place of the coyotes. upon seeing a figure follow the creek and then enter the woods, she thinks it may be one of those foes. but as she draws closer, those thoughts fall away. it is too big and brawny, and it smells of wolf.

a comrade. . .perhaps. unless it trends more toward the Saints and their ilk.

Avicus follows, eventually giving a chuff in her direction when she is within shouting distance. her scent is unfamiliar—of damp and trees, like the small forests within the valley. but the company she keeps, at least by smell, Avicus doesn't know.

hello, she greets, moving up to stand alongside—albeit from a distance. her indigo eyes cut into the stranger, keen and curious. who are you?

The focus on Allana's face was palatable. She was doing everything she could to map every inch of the forest before moving on to the next place. If she weren't careful, Allana would develop a headache. A couple more steps, and suddenly a chuff would sound out from behind. Allana quickly turned to see that she was no longer alone, and the fellow greeted her kindly. A returning nod was cast towards the newcomers direction.

"Hello there." Allana said kindly, respectfully maintaining her distance. "My name is Allana, and I'm a scout for the Ivory Rose pack some distance away."

Was that too much information to give? Allana picked up the scent of the other, also picking up the pack scent, and wasn't familiar with it. She also wondered if the pack was friendly or not, as was this newcomer. "You're welcome to travel with me if you want." Oh, the curses of being too nice. But -- it would behoove her to get familiar with the area and the roaming packs anyway. That was more information she could bring back home.

the woman is relatively forthright with information, which surprises Avicus somewhat—but she merely gives a nod, absorbing it. where is Ivory Rose? she asks, wondering if the stranger will divulge even more.

for her part, she remains quiet, falling into step with the woman once she begins to move again. she has come out here to hunt. . .if not the coyote, then any other piece of game. her nostrils flare, picking up myriad scents within the forest. Avicus hopes this one is a good hunting partner; they may eat well this day.

silent, steady. she waits for a response.

Allana hadn't considered the risk of divulging so much information to another simply because she was unfamiliar with the area, and was more trusting that she ought to be. Besides, saying what she was or what pack she belonged to didn't seem too much of a risk for her. Especially since the pack had been newly formed and didn't have negative relations with others quite yet. Regardless, she remained kind.

"Oh, off to the west somewhere. I am not a hundred percent familiar with it's exact location, which is why I'm out here to scout and map the area."

Allana was a little more vague this time, most of it was truth, and the other was to be more cautious with information. It didn't do any good if she gave out everything, right? While Allana could be completely nice, sometimes too nice, she remained cautious even if she slipped up a little bit in regards to information.

Allana made note of the size and shape of the trees in Emberwood, taking in the smells. It was like a pine and spruce with moist earth, and a very faint waft of herbs somewhere nearby. Some trees had fallen, making potential hiding spots for both wolf and prey, but in other cases it added to the beauty.

"What pack are you from? And what is your name?" asked Allana. "I don't think you'd want me to make one up."

ah, she does not get away with anonymity for long. her mouth twists in a moment's contemplation. blackfeather woods, she says succinctly, remembering her aunt's tale of a place—a home—far away. i am blood-flower.

the woman could make up a name if she wished; Avicus doesn't mind. she is not all too attached to her own, anyway.

but she does quite like 'blood-flower.'

she starts ahead once more, lifting her nose to scent-scout the place. coyotes here, she remarks, casting a glance toward her temporary companion. but perhaps she already knows this.
