All Welcome
For @Everett if you want it <3 other tag for reference!
The song of life had turned to a very different tune for Reverie. She wasn't at all used to this — this stability, this unwavering commitment, the slow fading of the fear that one day her husband would take her aside and confess that he could no longer bear to be with her. Bitterness still stirred in her on occasion; remembered hurts of a time before him, the beginning steps of a dance she knew too well by now. Breathless highs spiraling and breaking into resentful lows, the constant sickening fear, the edge of anger sharpening every hurt. It was only a thing of her past now, and each day @Boone reminded her of this by virtue of his presence alone. She was learning, slowly, to let go. She was learning to let herself feel peace.

Sometimes she thought about Everett, who had wanted so terribly to see her find this peace. Reverie wished that she could show him now, that she could hug him, ask him about his life, about those children, about Evander and Tybault. Look, she wanted to tell him, I finally did it. I finally left The Gilded Sea forever, because she never had before now; she'd been stuck there, living the misery which had brought her into the world. But Everett — he'd left it all behind. He'd chosen peace long before Reverie could even see what that might look like for her. She hoped it had made him happy.

She was thinking of him now, and drifted to the edge of the willows, toward the sea. He was too far to hear her, she assumed; still at the island. Reverie called for him anyway, and hoped against hope that somehow he might hear.
