Autumn had begun. Foreign to the man navigating the mountain on a lone path. Someone who had always thrived in the cold, wet snows. His white coat had always assisted him in remaining undetected — the dampness of the surrounding area throwing off his scent. He felt completely out of place in the bright, clay-colored hues consuming the trees around him.
His nose twitched, trying to detect any source of hunt. Though it was to no avail. He had left home, spreading out from his Mother pack in order to find new things. Rather late to most, but it was custom back home to remain there as the litter of a Pack lead. He was always in the line for greatness, but somewhere along the way it seemed to lose its very meaning.
'Leader?' He scoffed, shaking his head. Perhaps Inaira had been right about all she had said. Perhaps things were just as corrupted as she’d explained it to be. None of it mattered now, though. She was long gone. He’d realized far too late. Even if he was to run into her, he doubted they’d be friends now.
Anyhow, that was far besides the point. His eyes remained on the scene ahead, alert incase of unsuspected company. He wasn’t exactly sure where he was going, but that wasn’t stopping him now. It was only a matter of time until he ran into something .. or someone.
