Only if you have time!

Asivaq's grief came and went, but today was a better day than most. Even with the storm cloud over her head, she was attentive, bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, and generally pleasant to be around; her mourning had been difficult thus far, and she'd fallen into the trap of self-loathing and criticism.

With positivity coursing through her veins, she found space for something she hadn't felt in a while: infatuation. Between the village's formation, the children's birth, and Pinasut's death, she had found little energy for her husband and had relied on him more than usual.

Feeling a little more than frisky, Asivaq howled for @Kigipigak from the den as she watched their children play, summoning him to join her when he could.

The work of maintaining borders had increased since the arrival of Reyna's people; he was constantly having to leave his family to do patrols, or to escort individuals along the decided-upon path. Kigipigak knew that eventually, he would have to trust these strangers were true to their word, that they would leave Napatuqvik alone. It was difficult, and it was easier to pass his time being vigilant than to face his own feelings in regards to the village, his wife, and his dead son.

When Asivaq called for him he almost didn't go to her. What could she need now? Was she in trouble? Could this wait or was there someone lurking near the village limits that needed his attention? With a huff and a shake, Kigipigak tried to put aside all of these thoughts and remember this was his wife who called. The songs had ended, the child was in the ground.

Maybe that was why he was so slow.

But he arrived, eventually, and empty-handed; he wore a smile for her that was almost apologetic, and as he swept close to the ulaq he saw her standing there in the spring light. Wife, he called to her, I feel it has been one-hundred moons since I've seen you, hah, it had not been that long, of course.

Although it took him some time, Kigipigak arrived with an apologetic look on his face. Asivaq swept closer, clearing the distance between them, and kissed his cheek tenderly as he spoke. She took a step back, her expression now mirroring his, and her tail waved as her hocks as she nodded in agreement. I agree, husband, she said. But we have been busy—so I understand why it feels that way.

She took a step closer then and craned her neck to whisper in his ear. I know that we do not have a lot of time, but I was hoping I could steal you away to do ... ah ... mom and dad things. She pulled back, her expression suggestive.

A grin broke across his face when she whispered her true intent, and he laughed, which might've roused a child if he hadn't suddenly snapped his mouth shut and held it in. With the same suggestive tone to his voice Kigipigak all but growled in her ear, You don't have to whisper, and then pulled her close, happy for the distraction from his work and his emotions.

He didn't even look to see if her brother might be privy to the sight of them.

You are right, she all but purred in response as he pulled her closer. There'd been an awkwardness to her in asking for what she wanted, but that all melted away the moment he spoke. I am Issumatar, and I can do whatever I want. She'd been thinking about her new life and titles recently, particularly marveling about her role in Tartok. This, she knew, was her destiny—to be an Issumatar.

What can I do for you? She said, looking up to him with bedroom eyes. I know you have been working hard, and you deserve something nice for all of your hard work.

Mature Content Warning

This thread has been marked as mature. By reading and/or participating in this thread, you acknowledge that you are of age or have permission from your parents to do so.

The participants have indicated the following reason(s) for this warning: Adulting!

He grinned at her offer, and with only the slightest glance towards the children Kigipigak swept her up in his arms; they were young enough to be oblivious to all of this.

Murmuring in to the ear of his wife in a playful way, Let us see if you remember how this works. As if motherhood could make her forget the initial process of creation! He would wait for only a moment, a pause in case she refused him as was her right, and then they would share the same space for a time.

It was hasty, a bit rougher than Kigipigak meant; but it had also been so long since their last moment together like this, and he found himself craving the feeling of her.

Beloved wife, issumatar.

She was swept up in him, full of lust and laughter. Nothing else mattered as they became one; everything else could wait. Although their coupling was brief—as there were children to tend to!—Asivaq found herself satisfied but hungry and wanting more.

Beloved husband, Sangilak.
