Firefly Glen [PHE] Hello fellow hunters

Rodyn moved about the area. Greeting those he didn't know and those he did. Making small notes of who to trade with and what he may bring. The gathering was growing and he was extremely pleased.

He hoped it fit the dreams Kukutux had for it. He thought of Samani and how she would have enjoyed herself.  A small smile amd he took a deep breath and continued onward.

the sesh sat alone, nursing some treat she had hidden among the goods from tiye.

a skin bag filled with fermented berries, one of three she had managed to stuff away; tavina did not intend to careen through this gathering without some edge.

she knew the man who walked to be the one who had gathered them. tavina raised her chin in greeting, inviting him closer for a rest if he so desired.

The scent that greeted him was the scent of cured meats that Akashingo knew of. And the wolves that greeted him. He had met her, but couldn't recall her name. Very briefly in passing.

He moved forward a small smile. Hello I'm Rodyn Ardeth. Are you finding the gathering to your liking? Do you need anything?

"rodyn ardeth." she drained another berry. "i'm tavina, physician to muat-riya. worshipper of pharaoh," she added with a wry grin. "already i have seen so much." and it was true, even if she didn't care much for mingling.

"i need nothing. but you may need a break before long," the sesh pointed out. another berry as she looked for tiye in this audience of wolven strength.

Rodyn didn't know what those berries were, but they made him increasingly wary. There was sweetness to their scent, but so sweet it was almost as if they were fermented. And that never boded well. But she was pleasant enough. And perhaps it was a medicine he didn't know about. He made a mental note to ask Kukutux.

He nodded his head and looked around. Perhaps, but for now I will make sure everyone is settling in. This is a large gathering and we cannot have anyone feeling left out. That would ruin the whole thing.

He looked around and smiled. I am pleased with this turn out. I hope it all goes well.

"i believe it will. you have a large number of healers already. always a good sign," tavina said, nodding to where yet more wolves were joining the small woman with the white fur and the others of her pack.

"is there anything else that needs to be done? i am tired," tavina admitted, "but not so tired i'm willing to be bored while i avoid conversation. put me to work," she chuckled, a genuine sound which shone in its rarity.

He smiled. Healers are at teh core of what Moon villages are. Healers and traders. We would not have survived as long as we had without their gifts. They are held in great esteem.

He smiled then. And they were. They would not have survived this long without healers.

If you would like to help the villages get trades started. Or sorted. I am fine with that. I also know that Kukutux is sorting herbs and plans to have a women's circle. Perhaps you would like to share some knowledge with the young women in our gathering?

a women's circle. 

she hid the flick of her lips. "i will heal and offer my knowledge of course. our medicines and their properties i will share with you and yours."

but a circle of women? no. she might rather avoid that altogether. "let me walk with you, rodyn," she offered, a true friendliness to her. "show me something you enjoy about this place."

Rodyn couldn't quite hide the small smile at her clear refusal of the circle. But she was far too polite to come out adn say that. He liked that about her. He was often too polite to say much as well.

Rodyn moved his head thinking. There are many things I Like about this place. But I think my favorite is this way.

He led her towards a well worn path. Overgrown on the sides with willows and as they moved further inward. It unfurled to show a small pool of deep creek water. Where you could hear the fish jumping and see small beasts scurrying too and fro.

tavina followed, happy for the distraction and the leaving-behind of the milling din. willowbranches hung over them, revealing a peaceful oasis of freshwater and little chipmunks.

"it's much quieter here," she told him with an approving glance, purpled eyes watching the little waves which marked the flicking fins of trout and bluegill. "do your clans often come to the glen?"

Rodyn had no qualms about showing Tavina a secret little hideaway. Maybe it would help to ease her frazzled mind. She did not seem to be fond of the crowd. Perhaps that was why she was a healer. Less wolves to deal with. And you could be left alone to study. Sort of why he loved to hunt solitarily.

That it is. I like to find places like this. To take a minute to breath in the air without the breath of the others.

He shook his head. This is our first big gathering here that I know of. Occasionally Moonwoman ah Kukutux will have woman's gatherings there or meet wolves here for neutral meetings.

He nodded his head. I often hunt here on my own though.
