hehe I missed the tag on this but you can trust me to always check out a Killdeer post <3

The good news was that he'd grown a bit, though the word 'stretched' was probably a bit more on point, considering that 'growth' was supposed to be for living cells. When he looked into the river to appraise the age of his face, it showed him nothing but the sky above him. He huffed softly. He was curious to know roughly what age he looked like now, and would have been at least a little bit satisfied to know he looked to be at that point that is the last time a wolf still looks like a puppy before they start really looking like a wolf.

His legs were long, but thick and his joints were massive. He'd grown into his paws, but his body was long and lanky, trim about his middle. His tail was long and whiplike, having not developed into a full brush just yet and while his ears still looked a bit too big for his head, his muzzle was giving them a run for their money. He was in full-gawky mode, but at least he didn't have to shuffle to move anywhere anymore.

From what he could tell, he was a still quite opaque. Aside from not having a reflection, he couldn't see through his limbs or feet at all. He left behind no pawprints, and couldn't even stir a deaf leaf to move, but he looked very much solid.

Thus, you'd think it might be difficult for a ghost to stumble and yet stumble he did, snagging his long claws on the ground which seemed like his one tether to the physical world and went tumbling arse over tea kettle down a little hill. A few little rocks followed his movement, though no leaves fell as he blundered through bush after bush until he came to a stop.

When he looked up, there was a little clearing allowing him to see up toward the peak of the crag- and there he was, bringing an ache to Bronco's soul. Given that it was no longer restricted to his heart (as there was no point for a ghost like him to have one) it resonated throughout his entire spectral body. Unable to stop himself, he cried out.

"Killdeer!"
