All Welcome
Located near the Moonglow camp and the healing circle. He's looking for a healer in particular but AW.

Departing from Kvarsheim's camp, Ujurak made way towards the encampment that caught his attention upon arrival. Idling at its edges, he caught glimpses of hides and if he focused hard enough he could glean the scent of herbs from the air. The stone prince made no attempt to hide his interest in the camp's activities, but he did not flag down the wolves working within.

This was where the healers would be during the hunt, surely? Then, perhaps he would find them there after too?

Alaric was moving furs about when a light pelt caught his attention. He shifted and placed the furs before gambling up to the youth with a smile on his face and a spring in his step.

Hello I'm Alaroc of Moonspear. What brings you to the healers?

The youth didn't seem wounded in anyway, but perhaps he was. Or curious? Maybe even he was an inspiring healer.

A tall, obsidian clad man took notice to his lingering. Ujurak made no move to hide from him, there was no sense it. He had wanted to talk to a healer eventually anyway. Instead, Ujurak sat upright and returned the smile that was given to him.

Hallo, Alaric. I am Ujurak Loðbrók. I am one of three brothers that lead a pack across the mountains to the east, Kvarsheim. He tipped his nose to the horizon behind the man. Returning his gaze upon the man, Ujurak continued, I had hoped to locate a healer that may impart some of their knowledge onto me. I don't anticipate it to be learned quickly, and I know it is late in the season for most plants, but it is not a skill we have many capable of. We have had one girl join recently with knowledge of plants, but it is not a responsibility she should have alone.

Ujurak would have added that it also wasn't her place to be a sole caretaker of the pack's health, but he knew that as young as he was it would be hypocritical to say so.

Alaric shifted and ears leaned forward to catch the youth's phrasing. He was not an english born speaker. Of that he could tell. But he had a beautiful accent. Alaric enjoyed it.

He did not know of Kvarsheim in more than whispers of words. But he had heard of it. But who ran it he could not say. So three brothers. Siblings and leading was hard sometimes. He hoped they made it work.

So they only had one healer. He frowned in thought. I can teach you want I can today. And then perhaps before winter comes to badly I can make a few trips to Kvarsheim to help you learn more. How about we focus on winter sicknesses today? Or would you rather know about wounds?

Ujurak's ears cupped forward to Alaric, face brightening. The Moonspear man was a willing teacher. A wave a relief and a newfound excitment passed through him.

I will stay to learn as long as I can today before returning to my packmates. Thank you, Alaric. What can I offer you in return for your teachings?

The stone prince considered the resources available to them. The Fox's Glade was near to the circle with an ample number of foxes for beautiful furs. Would some of the valley's plants be scare for the wolves of the wilderness? He would also have to prepare a place for the healer within their grounds whenevee he visited.

Learning would be a lengthy process. He had to remind himself of such.

I think I would like to learn about wounds today. With the activities to come in the near future, I think the risk is greater, yes?

Alaric found joy in the teaching of the newer generations. There was something almost religious about passing on the knowledge he had gathered in his time on this earth. He loved it. And he had gathered so much from all areas of the traveling world. Some so obscure they made no sense, but worked nad some so well used and tried that they made the only sense.

Nothing. Just promise me you put it to good use and help others when you can.

It is yes. The important thing to know about wounds is stopping blood flow. Always know that wounds on your face, head and paws, will bleed more than any other wound. Specifically your head, even if it is shallow. You want to determine that the wound is not deep. I always apologize to the wounded wolf, because you have to hold tight to keep the blood flow to a minimum. And it hurts them. Following so far?

Alaric asked for nothing in return beyond using the taught skills. The stone prince warmed with admiration. Nor did he shelve the thought of acquiring something for Alaric. A gift given was a gift earned.

I promise.

He would have to plan another time as Alaric swept the conversation into his first lesson. Ujurak looked up him with eager eyes.

I believe so. What if a wound is too large for your paws to hold tight? It was a grim thought, but one he must consider. Failure, he understood, held grave consequences. Would I need to gather more wolves to assist in care in that event?

A promise given, received. Alaric would hold this youth to such things. He would make sure he treated others with the dignity adn respect they deserved as a healer. And he had no qualms sharing more with him. Especially given he was willing to give the request Alaric had asked.

Then you get a fur or bundles of moss or the fluff of reeds and press it in. In cases like this a poultice will need made to hold the skin and fur together. And there is no guarantee an infection will not settle in. It must stay covered, warm and dry. The herbs and such cleaned daily.

Alaric frowned. Too many paws can cause issues, but if you must have another. Only one other if you can manage.
