To the island she had gone, effortlessly making her way across the waters as she had a thousand times past, though those days had been behind her, she'd thought. But when she came back she knew this was where she must go. She had fled after Moonspear's fall, her and Mal and the remnants of their family, and further south she had found a new home. Quieter, with less drama, less people, formed simply around their family unit. It had brought her great anxiety to return here, thinking of all the things and people they had lost.
At the edges of the island she surfaced, shaking water from her fur and smoothing down a couple ruffled locks. Scenting the border along the coast she half expected to find Aiolos, Astaroth, Ying, Ruò... but none of those old scents remained, instead replaced by many she'd never met before. She wondered if they were descendants of the old Yuèlóng, children and grand-children of her friends and companions. But it was a high hope that was unlikely, she thought, after all this time and what little had remained of her people.
To the new rulers here, she sent up a song, a request for them to come and meet her. She was awfully curious what she'd find and hoped to herself that it was still kind, good hearted people here. @Heda @Caracal

from the greenhills, much could be seen. heda wondered this hour if there would come a time when her children would wish to leave sweetharbor. each day they discovered more. what happened when they discovered all there was to know?
she would trust in god, heda decided, as she did with all things. and then there came a voice, one she did not know. she was a pale red-tipped figure against the light as she descended, finding a woman there upon the sand who seemed inexplicably to be somehow — taken — from the sea itself.
"i hope i find you well," heda greeted, golden eyes lighting with a friendly smile.

The woman who found huā was younger than herself, with a figure that showed signs of motherhood, and a pleasing ruddy stripe that broke up the pale snow-white of her coat. She had kind eyes and a gentle greeting, and Huā bowed her head respectfully to her as she came, in the assumption that she might be in charge here, lifting it after a moment's pause.
She hesitated for a moment before continuing.
You as well. The day has been good to me.Huā returned, letting a smile meet her maw too.
She hesitated for a moment before continuing.
Excuse me showing up so suddenly... I used to live here some years ago, until too many tragedies met my family, and we left. But I was curious to see who calls this island home now, and I thought maybe the evil would be long-gone.She explained, feeling a tad awkward. Not meaning to be intrusive, yet consumed by curiosity all the same.
I do not suppose it is Yuèlóng anymore, yes?

there was no name exchanged, but heda felt an immediate familiarity with the sea-eyed woman at the mention of yuelong. "we call this island sweetharbor now. but i know aiolos. he told me everything about yuelong, and said he once led with a woman named huā."
the golden eyes glowed. "please. come in. any friend of yuelong is a friend to aiolos, and thus to me," heda decided with a gentle laugh and a pace forward. "i'm sorry to hear about your tragedies."

Sweetharbor, but she knew of Aiolos. Huā smiled instantly at the mention of his name, visibly perking up.
The woman invited the seawolf in. Huā would follow Heda, happily letting her lead despite of knowing the island well. She was a guest now.
Yes, Huā is me. I am so happy to know Aiolos is well and speaks of Yuèlóng still. He was like a brother to me,She shared, her voice full of love.
May I ask your name? She inquired, allowing space for the answer.

It is alright. At the time it was difficult for all of us, but now I know the lives we lost found peace in their resting. Her tone was solemn.
It was harder for my husband. He lost his second wife, some of his children went missing. She realized that she was oversharing and didn't want to make Heda uncomfortable, so she cleared her throat and continued on a happier note.
We made a new life in the north, with new children of our own, and found the peace we wanted. Now my children are growing up and doing well. She smiled; Huā knew even in her absence she had kin she could trust to maintain their little familial group.
How is Sweetharbor? Are the people happy here? She hoped so; it would be a weight off her shoulders to know that whatever had cursed this land was gone.

"we are very happy. my husband and i were blessed with eight children," heda explained, not elaborating on the impossibility of that. for they were all her own, born of her womb or not, and she held that truth in plain firmness.
enjoying how the pretty features of the sea-queen had warmed to hear aiolos' name, heda thought of how best to respond to that which had been said. "sometimes when god takes, we can't understand it until later." a beatific light warmed her face. "your life sounds wonderful, huā. i'm glad you came to visit, and hope you'll stay for a bit to meet the others."
