He was quiet when she answered his question, and simply nodded when she made a request of him. Of course, he would take care of them- that was a major part of who he was. And just because it meant babysitting, didn't mean that he thought it would be an uncool thing to do. Being a big brother was a big responsibility- and that, on its own, had a lot of cool points. 

"They're only gonna be...Half-siblings," He said, and looked up at his mother to see if he was right. "Does that make any difference?" He asked.
