Fennec had always struggled to find a constructive outlet for her anger, but sparring was likely as close as she could get. When Fig had offered it she'd known it wouldn't help but here, at least, it couldn't hurt. And it was a distraction if nothing else. Unfortunately she'd have to be at least somewhat careful until she learned her packmates a bit better - because attempting to beat the shit out of another wolf was probably only going to be acceptable if they went just as hard.
She missed Niamh.
Fennec paced the sparring grounds, waiting. She didn't really need to be bored, even if there was no opponent present. The more time she spent learning the terrain and the specific layout of her surroundings, the less likely she was to trip or allow herself to be pinned against some obstacle.
It might have been easier to find a partner if she stayed in the densities, but so far, she'd chosen to spend most nights camped near the ravine wall. It was how she'd stayed when she'd been here the first time and withdrawing was always easier than trying to make friends. She wasn't ready to lose the solitude yet.

I Hope it is okay to steal this. Have a Reyson. If he assumed too much let me know I will edit it.
Reyson had taken Maxim's advice to heart and though he had as of yet, failed to find out any of his packmates. He did allow himself to be more readily available for them to find him. Though it was with surprise and a tiny dose of dread that he came across a new wolf.
He didn't recognize her, but he did recognize the look in her eyes of sightless. For a moment, a brief flare of empathy lit his chest, then he quickly abetted. He would not do well to expect less from any wolf. For where she had lost her sight. She had probably made up with hearing, vibrations and other senses. He had seen it before.
She did not seem to be hard pressed to move, and though she smelled of Mereo it was faint, as if she much like him preferred to stay away from the main hub. It was why he found solace in the woods. He finally drew near enough to chuff, though he stayed a respectful distance away.
She wanted to come closer he would allow.
I will be building Reyson's personality largely in character. So his general personality and mannerisms may change as I learn more about him. I am fine with some plots with him as long as all parties are comfortable and know what is to be expected.

ofc!! Always!
Someone approached. Fennec heard them coming before the chuff, though she waited until he had stopped and announced himself before she turned in his general direction. He sounded older, judging by the voice, and friendly. Right now that wasn't exactly a plus.
I was looking for a spar. Preferably with someone who won't hold back. If that isn't something your interested in, I'm not really in the mood for a chat. She informed him bluntly, tone disinterested. She wanted an opponent who would take her seriously and, if he couldn't, she would continue to wait.

He met her gaze for a moment, proving to himself that she was indeed sightless. Reyson wouldn't say he was friendly, but he was trying to be better. Maxim had held him to task for his antisocial behavior. Though he wasn't certain if being friendly was a good thing right now.
Though her next words intrigued him and he allowed a half a smile, though she wouldn't have seen it.
He moved into a defensive position as soon as the words left his mouth. He had used such harshness for two reasons. The first being that he wanted to point out, she was being quite nasty and most would not spar. The second was to gauge her mindset and see if she was indeed as foolish as he was believing and just angry.
There was a difference between sparring to learn, and sparring to ease the pain inside. And he wanted to see where this wolf was on that scale. Not to mention he was eager to learn from one as her. Who could not see, but would probably utilize other senses.

I will spar you. I never hold back unless you are young and foolish. I think you are neither of those things, but we shall see. Shall we angry one?

Angry one. He had no fucking idea.
Fennec didn't respond. As soon as he agreed, and she heard him shift, she sprang for where she knew him to be. Her fighting style was a lot more direct than some by necessity. If she tried to catch anything specific, her chances of missing were higher. So she often tried to leverage surprise in her favor, as not many strangers would expect a blind wolf to attack them head on without hesitation. Their underestimation was sometimes their downfall.
She did not know if that would be the case with Reyson, but it let her get on the offensive edge first. She wanted to be in control of this fight.
If she caught him, she would latch on to what she could and attempt to use it to shove him down. All the while she listened, tracking where he might go if she missed.

Reyson was glad he was ready, because she wasted no time. The sparring pits had spoiled him. When people informed him they were ready. He got out her way, but not before she had grasped his shoulder and neck area. She fought to force him down.
He only managed to lock his legs, but she had almost had him. What a way to start a fight. It was then he got his answer. She was sparring to deal with some sort of pain inside. There was no other reason for the anger and brutality. And chances were. He'd leave this fight a loser and with some new scars to his collection. She had surprised him so much, that he didn't get a chance to fight back. Though he did try and shove his shoulder forward, possibly make her gag and let him go.
He noticed her tracking his movements. So he quieted his growl and fought to keep his footfalls as soft as he could.

Rolls? or Block? here a roll in case of :D 3 Hp: 30/30 is that right?

I don't like tracking hp, so am fine just rolling to see who wins - 13 for me
The mindless focus of the fight was what she craved, and she found it even as his shoulder hit its mark. She choked, letting go momentarily, but didn't wait long to strike again. She had to wrk quickly, keeping up with the ever changing landscape of the fight as closely as she could.
This bite was more aggressive than the first and, as instinct grabbed her, was not the move of a spar. She aimed to draw blood.

11 I am still shaky on dice. So she won the first round, with 13 to my 4, and now I rolled an 11 to see who wins this one?
She snapped at his face and shoulder again, landing a sharp snap near his eye and jaw. Blood welled from the wound, causing his vision to momentarily blur. He shifted and retreated, aiming a bite at the side nearest him. Aiming for her should and side, though he knew this spar would be bloody, he did not want to maim or kill. Though it was clear she had no qualms about that.
However, he'd be damned if he'd hurt her too badly, no matter how angry at the world she was. His torn ear, swiveled to listen, while he turned as quick as he could blinking the blood from his eye, that was now staining his tawny fur.

11 also!! And no worries, either way! I was fine rolling for overall winner too but with this post it may not matter. Fennec is.... something, at times XD
She tasted blood and felt the thrill of that success, but it didn't last long. She'd drawn in close and did not leave herself much of a chance to avoid Reyson's counter. It wasn't that he hit that was the problem. She could tell, from the strength of it, that she wasn't going to get the fight she wanted here.
Fennec twisted and jumped back, then scoffed quietly.
Nevermind. She didn't bother to explain her sudden lack of interest. He could figure it out himself - she'd told him not to hold back.
It wasn't a reasonable expectation to put in a packmate, but Fennec was hardly in the mood to be reasonable. She wanted to be driven to the fear that would bring the fight into sole focus, the energy that came from a true fight involving stakes and consequences. A spar wasn't going to offer that, so in her mind, it was an immediate waste of time.

He shook his head.
He tilted a tattered ear and shook his head. He had nothing else to say to her. It was clear she was angry at everything and everyone and she was also incredibly unfair. It was clear that she expected everyone to cowl to her whims and that wasn't how the world worked, especially not Reyson.
I'm not going to fight you to death. It's a spar.He studied her and spoke softly.
I don't know you, but if you have this much pain or anger or something. Whatever it maybe you should probably really talk to someone.

Fennec bristled a bit when he offered advice. She hadn't asked for his opinion and immediately took offense, reading into it a sense of superiority that really wasn't there. Instead, she was projecting her own insecurities into him.
She hardly owed him an explanation. Without so much as a goodbye, Fennec turned and frostily began to depart.
Real fights don't come with rules. Practicing otherwise means dying unprepared. She replied, tone heated. She didn't need to talk to anyone - and even if she did. Even if she wanted to. She wouldn't know where to start, and there was no way anyone here needed to hear it.

Reyson shook his head. She was beyond help, really. At least right now.
He stood still for a moment watching her go. Irritated. Which was surprising. He usually wasn't quick to anger, but her tone had just rubbed him the wrong way. And he had been in too many fights, lost too many men, because of rash decisions like hers.
He had wanted to spar to better learn a new fighting style. Instead it just put him off of the spar, and he had learned nothing from her.
