In his mission to scout out these lands he was hopping to settle in, the snowy giant found himself climbing the peaks to get a better view of the lands that surround them. On his way to the path, he had found a local pack's borders. It was the first pack he had come so close to their borders around these parts; although he didn't bother to cross them at the time, to cause such a ruckus by crossing borders would be much more of a pain in the ass to deal with than he would have wanted to.
Perhaps he had gone a little too close to the borders, but he didn't stick around long enough to wait for someone to find him skulking around. Be was simply just passing by after all.
As the snow drifted from bove, the twinkling began as the moonlight caught off of their glint. Stars falling slowly from above and clinging to his soft pelt in a white halo. Climbing over a cliffside, shoulders easily pushing him up over the ridge while strong legs pushed his girth up to finish the climb. A small valley opened up where the moonlight not only twinkled against the snow, but the walls glowed as northern lights so close you could touch it.
For a moment he took in the sight and smells, it was vacant of life for the time being; and thus, wasn't anything important for him to stick around and watch. Already the beast was on the move to continue his trek and scout out these lands.

The Beta departed from Moonspear for a brief sojourn away to inspect the surrounding territory. She was curious whether or not those from Redhawk would seek her out should they go to find the wolf she detested the most; the wolf that Hydra herself wanted to see dead. She did not mind going to him swiftly; that would be what they expected of her, would it not? And she could not do that. Let them grow content and lazy with the feeling. The day he forgot to look behind his shoulder would be the day she found him—
or if he came too close. This, too, she sought to know as her nose grazed over dusty stone... but it seemed to not be so, fortunately for his mortality. She paused as she observed a large mass in the distance, and her head lifted while her ears pricked as she looked on to observe that this was a man. They moved, and her eyes followed, her own body language a healthy mixture of guarded and confident. She did not know laziness, and worked tirelessly to maintain her mastery. Her nose drank at the wind, hoping that a telltale breeze would advise her of who, if anyone, he ran with. It would be simple enough to push a Blackfeather wolf to their death should they not provide her with the information she wanted, and her own approach—her trajectory had been the same as his—was that of a woman who knew fear as an ally, not an enemy. Yet she was not so foolish as to meet him outright; she gave him ample space, not thinking to crowd him.

A white halo swayed gently in the breeze, the soft fur danced to and fro in a synchronized ballet upon his back. Stepping forward, the sight was once majestic and now it bores the man as he pressed on. Mapping out the area in a mental note. Knowing one's surroundings was half the battle, it was unwise to be blind to the region and their neighbours if he was to stay longer than a breeze.
With a step forward the familiar scent whaffed through his senses, causing him to slow his step to a stop and turn to see the black figure standing at a polite distance away. He turned to face the young woman, a slow circle with every step as majestic as the last. Movements so calculated that they were beautiful the way that a sea beast swimming could be seen as.
Pools of liquid honey washed over her, she was of a more compact physique, not quite small but smaller than the wolves he was accustomed to being around. It seemed many of the wolves around here were on the smaller scale - perhaps they were not small, but he was large in these lands. What was average in his homelands was abnormal here. But he was not frightening to these creatures as it seemed, and so there had to be others with his stature around that he had just not found... maybe he was just unlucky with his findings thus far.
The familiar scent was that of the wolves he had passed their lands by just a little while ago while on his way to the mountain's pass. It was strong on this one. Is this coincidence, or are you following me. Since her scent was that of the pack he had passed, she could be investigating the strange scent that came close to her home - or perhaps, this was just a coincidence as he hopped. But never the less he waited, prepared to defend himself from a pack member who may be all too protective...

Hydra was given pause as she was observed, and one foreleg pulled toward her chest in a manner that suggested she was harmless. Her words, however, contradicted the innocence her pose seemed to radiate:
It began as coincidence, she admitted. Two wolves in the same place could be nothing but when they were not of the same pack, could it?
And then, I followed you.Hydra blinked, wondering he might make of that. He was not a man of importance to her, but she had found his trail. Rosencrantz had found a path to navigate, and she took advantage of it, though she knew this territory well enough to find her own way. More than that, she wanted to know where his allegiance lay. She had not known he had come even closer to her territory than this, though.
Who is it you run with? She decided, instantly, to be straightforward with him. Her paw finds the earth again, and she is solid upon all fours once more. From this proximity, she cannot smell the Woods upon him... but Hydra has learned that this meant nothing. Words could be lies, too, she knew; but many got confused by their own tangled webs, and she believed she would find the truth.

Taking note of her posture, Rose took note that she was at least trying to defuse the situation, he in turn relaxed just a little, allowing his tail to fall limp and sway with the breeze rather than rigid and ready. Her words were what interested him the most. Although they did not have him stand on guard again, his gaze shifted from a cuirosity to a hard stare. Liquid pools of gold glittered as they caught the dim light of dawn while the brute tilted his head down to observe her with a more leveled head.
What is it that you want. His curiosity continued, his tone was less demanding than one would think. Perhaps her posture alone had helped him keep his tone as calm as it is instead of a demanding bark. There was much he was willing to do, all she had to do was speak. If she wanted information, he didn't have much as of yet, and he wouldn't speak unless she had some to share anyway.
Straightforward, just as he liked it. No games, just ask and response. No one. Whether she believed him or not was hers to decide. I've only arrived here weeks ago from the North. He clarified, to just up and join a pack when one just found them, without much thought or education on others in the lands was unwise after all.
