Pack Activity

While the howling to their newfound home had been official just weeks ago- only now, did finally their scents remain at the doorstep of the forest. She could smell all the Trotters cross the lands and officially claim so. Célnes chest bursted with pride from how far they had gotten, and she could not help but hold her head back and let out a long, welcoming and loving call to them all.

A howl of celebration; for may Kingslend last forever.

A song of pride and joy rang through the forest.
Their King had claimed them too now.

Sacnite was no Deorwine, but she was part of Kingslend.
So she too tipped back her head and let her song course with the others of the woods, letting them know that she too was here to stay.

Thus Kingslend was formed. Ken joined in their song- a honor to stay among the Deorwines. Religious as hell, and sometimes almost painfully so- but they were Ken's family. He'd put up with them, as long it meant he could be near his older brother and sister, he was content.

Finally, they had grown enough to secure their foothold in the forest. Henryk's chest swelled with pride at the thought that he had been here to help see it through to completion, right along with them. He tipped his muzzle to the sky and let his song fly in synchrony with the others, a soft smile on his face with hope for the future.

Though Eadwulf is a little late to the party, he joins in on the group howl. They have been finalized. The High Elk has given them a sign — they should be here. For they’ve all gathered in the same place. What’s so special about this place? He has yet to find out. Still he tilts his head back slightly and lets loose a deep howl, reverent, praising his new pack, praising his kings, praising the forest and creatures around them. This is their home now.

Kingslend was reborn, and everyone cheered. Their voices could be heard from miles away. A symphony.

The King did not join the chorus. He quietly weaved his way through the trees, seeking out his sister.

A call rang out through the forest, soon joined by another and another. The voices of his family coming together as one as the staked claim to the forest once more. Calhoun had noticed their growth too, and as the days passed their borders and caches grew. There was no denying them of their home now, Kingslend was here to stay. It was with pride that the Baron raised his head to join in.

as before, germanicus did not raise his voice. he stood silently at the side of his king, though his heart was filled with a quiet pride at what célnes had accomplished here.

wordless, a smudge of cursed grey flanking her.

They've done it. Her old pack — her old family — had found a new place to call their own after the devastation just a few months ago. Kingslend had come a long way, and even though many of the old faces she once knew did not show, as much as it pained her, Cynefrid could only be grateful that there were faces she could recognize as well as many more which have joined their ranks.

Her wine gaze shifted around her to see all that had already arrived with a waving tail of content. Then to her king who stood amongst them all, a warm smile of gratitude from the depths of her heart.

'Thank you, Celnes and Cenric. Me and many more shall remember this as the day you've led Kingslend out of the ashes and into a new tomorrow. May you lead us with the might of the High Elk's horns.'

And with that, the fawn's skull lifted to release a long howl in celebration for this victory.

He loomed upon the outskirts, a gargoyle balanced on a decrepit ledge, silent beneath the festive song that wove above his head. One paw hooked around his tines while the other searched and settled on a swath of charred and unetched bone.

They had not listened then, they would not listen now. Yet these were his kin. He bore the name of the transgressors, and he carried their sin. The High Elk has spared him; and Glaedwine could not abandon those who remained.

The stalwart guardian shifted, as if breaking from stone; he let his voice carry with the chilled eastern wind to bind him with the Deorwines once more.

rohesia blinks at the holy chorus that lifts over the forest, snorting and shaking her head, while scouting for something that she spit into celnes face, a sickly rabbit for their sick little kingdom.

everyone, shut up. it's ravinger time. he bursts onto the scene with a howl so over-the-top, so full of melodic and transformative riffs that it's almost obscene.  ravinger is that music major that constructs ridiculous harmonies singing the happy birthday song; he's that obnoxious theatre major that starts belting ballads in an olive garden at two in the afternoon.  the rest of the pack are his very loud, very unnecessary back-up singers.  now, he's here to shine.

The old bull sits lonely. Whilst the others mind their new borders, hunt for the ranks, play happily in their new home and to their new tasks. She but sits, tail curled round her paws, and murmurs to herself mindlessly in the memories of those long lost to them by the flame. Her blood, what little she had after the loss of her two children, still missing.

But despite the harsh trails which they endured, despite the muck which Celnes had drug them through, the pack endured. Be it by the still holiness of the High Elk's unshaken followers, they endured.

Odessa was silent, slipping into a lay as she grew tired and weary, and her cough never teasing. A smile touched her features though as she listened to her family. Even at the obnoxious yowls of @Ravinger, still smiles. A snort, then a laugh. They had found home again.

The Deorwines were finally home. It would take time to settle into their new forest and regain their former greatness. But what truly mattered was that their God, the High Elk was here with them. Watching over his subjects, casting his blessing or scorn. Chad was dedicated to serving him and his family well. Pride swelled in his chest as the voices of his family filled the air. He joined their chorus, praising their claim and paying homage to the High Elk, with a bold booming howl. They were here to stay, reborn.
